Profile
Vincente Sumiyama started out at the very bottom. He was a mixed-race child of oil rig workers in Brazil, a country known for its instability and racial stratification. Fortunately, Vincente had the right combination of talent, boldness and luck to work his way out of poverty, get into a good university and start pursuing the creation of a media empire. Through the creation of new and innovative programs, as well as crafty business deals, Vincente turned fluff and dreams into dollars and cents. He was a millionaire by the time he graduated from college, and used his skills to found the increasingly dominant Phoenix Communications media conglomerate. Along the way, he fell in with the conspiracy in exchange for power and influence, and traded much of his moral foundation for market dominance. When the conspiracy fell, Vincente's political connections kept him safe; when it started to rebuild, he wasted no time carving out a new place for himself. This time, there won't be any mistakes -- he'll see that the world only sees what they need to see. Vincente often comes across as a cowboy ("maverick" is a dirty word now), and models himself after the great media moguls of the 20th century. Linked closely to the terrifying Miss Millions, Vincente has begun to chafe beneath Her power, and may finally be driven to act against Her in the coming times. Vincente is also attempting to court Mai Atsuki, though it appears to be rough going.
