Video Man was designed to push the limits of timestopper technology, perhaps as an answer to the temporal experiments of younger scientists. However, the idea behind Video Man did not go quite according to plan, leaving him in an unstable state -- he skips and stutters, not entirely anchored in our time. He obliviously repeats movements and words several times every few seconds, reliving events as if they were happening again. However, Video Man is not entirely without advantage from this ghoulish existence; he can 'rewind' his wounds and make it more difficult to injure him at the cost of speed, or go 'fast forward' and move at a blinding pace at risk to his own safety and precision on top of the use of a conventional timestopper in his Video Pause. Video Man, the spiritual descendant of Gameshow Man, sees the world as one large television show. He is never without sarcastic banter or wisecracks even in the most inappropriate situations, and delights in making highlight reels of the successes and failures of those in the Robot Wars. Video Man spares no one from his wit, which often gets him into trouble.
