Profile

Yaniv Baumann decided at the age of five that he was going to grow up to be a king. An only child from a family of Swiss bankers, Yaniv's fanciful dreams were discouraged by his family, but could not be completely extinguished. He continually frustrated his father by showing little interest in the world of high finance where the Baumann family had excelled for generations. Despite this disobedience, Yaniv did well in school and made friends easily, though often was teased for his fanciful dreams. He was inspired by a natural science teacher in high school to pursue a career in agribusiness, further estranging himself from his family. When he chose to enroll in the elite Agricultural College of Calcutta, Yaniv was cut off from the family fortune and left to fend for himself. Refusing to give up, Yaniv pursued his studies while working full time in an enormous dairy factory, discovering the philosophy of Neo-Objectivism from a fellow worker. Inspired by Ayn Rand's protagonist Howard Roark, Yaniv started to think of ways to improve the operations of the plant, using his book knowledge and hands-on experience to challenge the conventional wisdom of the day. The operators of the dairy threw him out because of his continual "suggestions" just one year before he was going to graduate. Determined to finish, Yaniv sold all of his worldly possessions and got a small business loan, adopting the Dairy King persona to wholesale dairy products at the slimmest profit margins possible to consumers. His low prices and compelling persona allowed him to first pay his way through his last year of school, then build up the Creamland Empire into its own nation. After his marriage to a Swedish noblewoman, even the staunchest opponents to the Kingdom of Creamland had to grudgingly accept him into the community of European royalty. Today, the Dairy King rules over Creamland with his Queen and their three daughters, Vanity, Pride and Reason.
