How is it possible for Sword Man to be British if that's not his region of origin? (IE He was not built there, made a British subject, etc. to my knowledge). -badgerlord71 10/10/07

I agree. You can edit his trivia section to indicate he 'acts' British without actually being a member of the British category. You already state he speaks 'King James' English so it should be easy to add this as well. -Angstpuppets 05:18, 10 October 2007 (EDT)

View On Dr. Wily

Like Nana said, I am not sure any of the Robot Masters are even allowed to think about that about Dr. Wily. If they did think he was mad it would be in a purely good way. If that opinion was ever discovered by any of the chain of command it would likely be reprogrammed the heck out of you. Just food for thought.

Also, since is supposed to be encyclopedic, I am not entirely sure something like that should included at all unless I'm mistaken? A players interpretation of something as touchy as WilyCode should perhaps be removed in favour of a more neutral opiniom especially since this one is probably going to be subject to change. Then again, Dan did indicate that this Wiki was in no way an indication of how people should play their characters. Eh. --User:Grim

As far as I can see, they can think what they want. The code only prevents them from doing as they want. And then there is the simple fact that as insane as Wily is, he still created the Robot Masters and is their father, so they have more reason to obey him and keep their personal opinions as secret as possible. Although on a couple occasions in small personal combat with Hunters and Repliforce (or maybe just Repliforce) he did say aloud that he thought his creator was a little mad and should be put in a home (note, not a jail). And the only time he did tell his fellow RM's and Wily himself that the doctor was a crackpot was during the alt-u TP and even then it was the alt-u Sword Man who said it outright. The Normal-U Sword Man wouldn't even dare tell his brothers or Wily that the doctor is a lunatic. :) Not if he still wanted to remember the next few months and the last few months clear as a bell.
Still, he does care for Wily on some level despite, having given him a "sword cane" for one birthday and a book entitled "1001 ways to outfox Mega Man" for Christmas recently. That can be added to the IC events, though that note is entirely limited to what the RM's know. --Ifrit 21:43, 11 January 2007 (EST)
The reason that I object to this particular view is (having played a Robot Master who was reprogrammed) that it is inherently contradictory to the whole 'conquering the world for Wily' thing. The Robot Masters all want, in their own way, Wily to win. This view does not seem to promote that. The code actually DOES prevent them from thinking 'whatever they want'. Quite so, in fact. They have to think a certain set of rules that exclude questioning Wily's actions or opinions (see news masters2). Again, if you think Wily is crazy and should be in a crazy house, obviously you are questioning his actions, opinions, and sanity. Which Robot Masters don't. That is their blessing and their curse. --Nana
It depends on how you view it. I play Ballade as, basically, he is forbidden from THINKING things that could conceivably lead to him betraying Dr. Wily. This is because, essentially, if you think thoughts then the possibility exists that you can conceive a way 'around' the WilyCode that allows you to do things. Essentially, the WilyCode forbids the RMs even thinking of anything bad as a way of getting around problems that thinking those thoughts would create. The actual reason he went so crazy when he was released from WilyCode was he was able to think things that he was unable to think before and that angered him more than thinking things and being unable to act on them. The fact still remains, however, that this is very dangerous territory. If Wily ever found out (or other RMs or that matter) you'd be quickly reprogrammed. Additionally IIRC Wily does actually re institute WilyCode periodically. That is to say if you are returned from a backup or whatever your WilyCode is essentially patched and reinstalled to prevent problems like it degrading over time. --Grim
I did a few edits of the page. Does it look more acceptable now? --Ifrit 04:17, 15 January 2007 (EST)
