Profile
Sol Salamander was created as part as a strike force for the Repliforce. They were a team designed to enter harsh environments, such as wastelands and deserts to find hidden bases and track down criminals that escaped into them. However, along the line, the project was scrapped, and sense Sol was the only complete one of his line, he was considered something of an oddity. Something he came to embrace, and accept. Soon, Sol found himself doing a variety of missions, outside the scope of his original function, and soon had to learn to adapt to a verity of fields and terrain. He adapted very well, however, he did not climb the ranks as well as he could have. Sol soon learned to value justice over orders, often doing the right thing when it went against orders. This, of course, got the attention of a Hunter, who of course, invited him. Prizing individuality, he decided it was best to leave the Repliforce.
Background
Sol Salamander was created to be the next generation in desert operations, specifically in survival and recon. However, the project did not go over as smoothly as intended, and instead of having a long line of similar Reploids, Sol was one of maybe less than five that actually were produced. However, he accepted the invitation into the Repliforce, and started his work there. Learning there was a world outside of the desert, as well as the morals and guidelines that would turn him into the Reploid he was today.
Here he learned that right and wrong, and orders were sometimes two different things. The Repliforce, while good, believed that the greater good is more important that individual lives. This was something Sol found himself agreeing with. Being unique in design, he found himself realizing that individualism is important…and so, started the long line of insubordinations, matched with a solid success rank. He did his job, and well, but often ignored orders that put others at risk in his eyes.
His most noted offense was during the rise of the Maverick Infection…some newly infected Reploids were holding hostages. The orders were to kill them on sight, but instead Sol walked forward, using the confusion of the recently infected to take the shots…and focus aim on him. Damaged, but the reploids were stopped, and treated before they went fully Maverick. This action got the attention of the Maverick hunters, who approached him with a position. Agreeing, seeing as the Repliforces view was too limited for him, he signed on.
He spent some time in the Maverick Hunters, however, was given vacation time where he worked on his poetry and took time away from the Robot Wars, coming back into active service a month before the Apocalypse caused by Blues. Right before this time Sol met Charles Archer, and though he disagreed with the man's methods, he liked the man personally, and became friends with Gospel, but remained his loyalties to the Hunters. However, he was not above helping Gospel and their acquisition with Sri Lanka. Sol also volunteered to be a liaison for the Irregulars during this time. Sol also lead several successful attacks against Wily's holdings in San Ann, but all of this became moot, thanks to Blues.
After the events caused by Blues, he escaped San Ann, and rescued survivors, protecting them from Zombies and rogue Mavericks and Masters. He took this increasingly growing force away from San Ann, and they settled in the Midwest, in a small city in Illinois. Here, Sol was described as a one man FEMA, rescuing survivors, protecting secured zones, and helping repair and power these places of safety. Sol also assisted efforts in Europe, helping repel the Black legion from Paris. Sol has also been put in charge of a US Government program to start moving around the United States, teaching the common civilian how to defend themselves against Zombies, how to repair their own facilities, basic survival and gathering tips, and how to grow their own food. Sol has enlisted the help from the Resistance in Europe, as well as European Juggalos, thanks to Andrew and Alpha.
Trivia/Facts
Has a few references to Trogdor, such as a joke attack name, a normal attack called Burnination, some Skills, and his Alias.
Also has a few references to Axel, a Member of Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts II, such as his weapon of choice, attacks with said weapon, and fighting style of choice while using them.
He has friendly relations with both Gospel and the Irregulars.
He does not like Nana, he is also relatively quiet about why and does not speak about it.
Has high fived Axl in front of a exploding building. It was awesome.

Sol's Combat abilities: Sol does not simply have a flame thrower and have a ice cannon. Sol's abilities come from being a thermo generation unit. Sol's abilities to attack with ice are actually heat draining abilities of the Hunter. He can drain heat from ares around him, which is why when he gets upset or can not control his emotions, the cold will get colder. In combat, this becomes very painful. This also causes the second part of Sol's abilities: heat. Sol can fire blasts of fire, cause ares to become covered in flame, or simply raise the temperature of areas around him drastically. Sol's abilities are not affected by the time of day, but rather his environment. In the desert he is strongest, but in Antarctica, he is simply unable to fight unless there is some source of heat around him or it is a sunny day.
Mindset: Sol was also mentally conditioned and designed to spend great deals of time alone in his element. To this effect, he feels constantly alone, even in large groups of people. This is not to say that he is unable to talk to people or socially handicapped, just the opposite. However, Sol will always seem distant to others, it is often unintentional. More than that, he also has small concept of privacy when it comes to himself. He lays down whenever he feels like it, says what's on his mind, and is generally upfront. However, he believes that he will never have any serious romantic relationships, and the knowledge doesn't bother him too much. Especially after what he has seen with Epsilon, Alloy, and others.
