Charisma, military cunning, ruthless determination: all of these words describe the Maverick Emperor, Sigma. Programmed as one of the greatest warriors in history, combining past military thought and the sentience of past leaders, Sigma was once the leader of a Special Operations group which was designed to stop Dr. Wily and his Robot Masters. The failure of the world governments to take note the disappearance of his love, Iris, lead the once great leader to go Maverick. The Maverick Virus twisted and turned his mind from good, pure tactics to the ruthless and cunning mind of a tyrannical general. Viewing the Reploids as the superior race, Sigma wants nothing less than the subjugation of the human race through death or control. He carries the Sigma Sabre, a powerful lance that can absorb any form of energy and expel it as plasma. Sigma also wears a special mechanical cape, which is actually the housing for a powerful teleportation device. His eyes themselves are also a preferred weapon, shooting out beams of bright red lasers to his intended target with bull's-eye precision. Sigma is currently deceased, having been slain by Axl and consumed by Lumine.
