Tasks Thus Far:

Zach has been tasked to track down the Iota Segment in preparation/training for the operation in Rio.

Findings:

(Zach Log)

Using that geolocater file that got you guys to Tau, I was able to narrow Iota's location to the Canary Islands.

Here's where it gets...troublesome. The backbone trunk runs through there, but does not hit any charted islands. Using other utilities, I was able to get a picture of the area that is about a year old. It's a speck of "land" about four klicks northeast from Tenerife, the largest island in the chain. It shouldn't even /be/ there, and the trunk runs right through the center of it.

There's no automated access to the island, either. No teleporter. This is not something to solo. Not by me, anyway. This part of the world was Wily turf for a long time. It's /probably/ a base that just...stopped getting used, but there is no telling what might have been stored there.

This is going to need ninja support.

<Text from Nana. You can feel the rage and disappointment oozing from it, though.>

Last night we went to try and free the Africa segment. It was an embarrassing failure. We were outnumbered so badly they could have easily killed us at their leisure and I don't know why they didn't. I didn't even get to /see/ the segment's servers. This is why I had Zach do some reconnaissance of it way back then, and he /said/ we were going to need big guns, but I guess that didn't really set in in time, did it.

Rio is not going to be like this. I don't care what it looks like. I don't care what favors we call in or from who. We don't have any more room for error. In case anyone forgot, this is a living being who sacrificed himself to try and save us from Ra Moon that we are trying to free here. He doesn't deserve to be a slave to a horrible man like Sumiyama.

Next time we are not going to make any mistakes.
