Profile

Chloe Hatchetman is a third generation Juggalo, born in a dreary industrial city in Wisconsin to parents who were adherents to a radical sect of Juggalos known as the Seekers of Shangri-La. The Seekers believed that the prophecies of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope were meant as a literal guide to a physically accessible Paradise hidden away somewhere on Earth. Suffice it to say, her upbringing was fairly twisted, and she was often physically and verbally abused by her frustrated parents. Chloe was eventually taken away from her parents by the state and relocated through a series of foster homes until she turned 18, at which point she joined the nearest carnival headed into the ruins of Europe to find her own way. However, the views taught to her by her parents made her a pariah, and she quickly found herself on her own. Chloe joined up with the Count to try to rob him blind, but got a swift beating when she tried to rob him. After coming to an "understanding", Chloe now works for the Count as a hired goon. Chloe wants to use the conspiracy's resources to find Shangri-La, as well as becoming wealthy and powerful: things that are very un-Juggaloish but are major interests of hers. Chloe is blunt, crass and aggressive, and is usually treated as a second-class citizen by other members of the conspiracy. An outcast among outcasts, Chloe feels she has nothing to lose with her continued service except her life (and her immortal soul). But imagine what she could gain!

Trivia

  • Chloe makes fun of Maddy a lot, thinking it is the best way to express caring. In reality Chloe is very protective of Maddy and considers her something of a younger sister, though this often is not obvious to outsiders.
  • Chloe was raised orthodox; she speaks only in rhyme and is always in full makeup.
  • Chloe also has a Myspace, like the other two.

Gospel Data

Background

Chloe Hatchetman was born on January 16, 2197 in Madison, Wisconsin. Her parents were Marcus Hatchetman and Deborah Keeter. Marcus was a heretical Juggalo scholar, while Deborah worked as a night manager at a hotel. Marcus followed a radicalized version of the Juggalo faith known as the Seekers of Shangri-La. The Seekers believed that the prophecies of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope were meant as a literal guide to a physically accessible Paradise hidden away somewhere on Earth. This is against everything mainstream Juggalos believe, and these heretics are treated poorly even among the outcast Clowns.

Marcus was an abusive father, eternally frustrated by his inability to derive the location of Shangri-La from the teachings of the prophets. Deborah allowed Marcus to do as he would, losing herself in hallucinogens in an attempt to find the truth through divine revelation. When she was six years old, her parents flooded their apartment with gas in an attempt to induce a mass hallucination to find the path. Neighbors stopped the ceremony and had Chloe taken away by the state. Chloe has never seen her parents since.

Chloe went through a series of foster homes. She was a difficult and alarming child, damaged by her early upbringing, to the point where even Juggalo homes found her impossible to deal with. When she turned 18, with only a basic high school education, Chloe left America and made her way via cargo ships to Europe, where she affiliated herself quietly with a resistance Carnival operating in France. The brutal street-level training she had received in the Wisconsin foster home system was refined over a period of three months through numerous sorties against Maverick patrols. She saw death and horror up close and personal, and rose to the challenge of brutality.

In the end, it could not last. Chloe's heretical views eventually came to the fore, and she was forced into exile. She had come to enjoy being alone, and spent nearly a year operating on her own. Her activities during this period are difficult to catalogue, but she apparently became proficient at murdering robots.

At some point, she entered Transylvania and encountered the Count. Apparently Chloe was attempting to rob the mansion, but was defeated by Alexius in single combat. Rather than being killed, or nailed to the trees outside the mansion for the wolves, Chloe joined Alexius as a liason to the Juggalos who farm the surrounding area. It is unclear whether or not the Juggalos in the settlement know of Chloe's heresy.

Background Additional

Chloe Hatchetman has a clear paper trail if Blues knows where to look; she was in foster care for most of her early life. Apparently she was taken away from her parents, Marcus and Deborah Hatchetman, due to gross child abuse (Marcus) and neglect (Deborah). The incident that tipped the scales was when her father flooded their home with gas to try to induce a mass hallucination for religious purposes. Neighbors realized what was happening and rescued the family before they suffocated. Marcus is presently in jail on a drug-related charge, while Deborah works several low-paying jobs to subsidize Marcus' obsessive Shangri-La research. Neither Marcus or Deborah have ever seemed to express interest in locating Chloe afterward. They won't talk to you.

If the right palms in Wisconsin are greased, Blues can find a few of the foster homes she was placed in. This is where most of Blues' discussions come from, as Chloe apparently had no real friends that he can find to speak to. She bounced from school to school, home to home, all through the state. She was in and out of juvenile hall once she was old enough to really do damage to people, adding to the difficulty in dealing with her. You have numerous mug shots to choose from.

Themes repeat, over and over again; a difficult child, angry, aggressive even by Juggalo standards, prone to violent outbursts. "Moon mad", the Juggalos call people like this. It's hard to find anything else about her that isn't colored by this assessment. All of the foster families seem strangely sad when Chloe is brought up, and the malaise tends to linger for a while afterward. One family asked if Chloe had died and seemed surprised when she had not. Younger children seemed to cower when her name was mentioned.

When she turned 18, Chloe left her last foster family without warning. Unable to be stopped, she apparently hitchhiked to New York City, stowed away on a cargo ship heading to Europe, and became part of the Juggalo resistance. You know of some of these people, as many of them currently live in Paris. She was apparently a good warrior, but her heresy became offensive. They banished her, which Juggalos only rarely do, because she would not recant. "We wanted to forgive her," said Juggalo chieftain Crazy Eye. "But she wouldn't let us."

Chloe laid out a trail of murder and fury across Europe, fighting through anything in her way with her hatchets and piano wire. There is a price on her head in some localities for theft or arson, but not much personal information. At some point she ended up in Romania, apparently affiliating herself with the Count. A popular tale is that Chloe was defeated in battle by Alexius during an attempt to rob him, and he somehow extracted her service as a punishment. The Juggalos immediately around the castle insult Blues with creative limericks but will not provide him with any useful information.

Myspace

Chloe's Myspace is surprisingly sparse, but she may lack the technical know-how to really make it unpleasant. The background is a rotating series of Joker's Card wallpapers that refresh about once a minute and fits on the average screen without incident. However, she has set up a stream that continually runs ICP cuts in chronological order. If you keep the window open long enough, you hear the full tale of the Joker's Cards.

Chloe's picture was taken with her sitting on the top right corner of the giant W Guts Man made the Eiffel Tower into, one knee bent, one leg straight. She apparently has no fear of heights. Her face is Clown white, with a red heart drawn on her left cheek. Her hair is done up in braided pigtails down to her elbows, suspended probably by some wires inside the braid. She wears a black half-jacket -- basically a sleeved vest with broad ruffled purple cuffs -- over a red and white polka-dotted dress. She holds the camera with one hand and a cigarette in the other, and you get a decent view of Paris over her shoulder.

Chloe has set herself as a female, 22 years old, from Madison, Wisconsin. She logs in about once a day.

About Me: "gotta have flow / gotta get dough / rolling in a benz / want my ends"

Who I'd Like To Meet: "Violent J and Shaggy at the gates of Shangri-La"

Chloe has a handful of friends in Myspace. She doesn't fill up her top 8. There's Count Elek and Maddy and a handful of Juggalo interest groups.

Chloe's interests include: rapping, macking, attacking, rhyming, getting my timing -- right, gearing up for a fight, boys & toys, assassination, rhythm nation, rocking the casbah, finding Shangri-La. Chloe's heroes include Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope and a few other popular Juggalo figures. Chloe is in a few Juggalo groups that do a lot of freestyle rapping as well as public advocacy for Juggalos.

Chloe's details show that she is Single/Looking, here for Everything, Straight, with a hometown of Madison, Wisconsin, Clown (a new ethnicity), and an Aquarius. She smokes and drinks, has a GRE, and her occupation is set to "Adventurer".

Chloe's comment page is slow. Most of it consists of feeds from other Juggalo news pages. She occasionally writes notes to herself in the feed like "groceries" or "moat duty".
