Who?
Alloy is an Australian reploid Hunter who joined the organisation in 2214. Constructed by his creator during 2206 and activated on March 12th, 2207, he spent his early life oblivious to many of the harsh realities of the world, taking an interest in programming and hacking, which bloomed into a fully developed talent. The assassination of Kurt Bannister was what jerked him into deciding to leave his father's side and put his skills to good use.
Although the Hunters know his real origins, the official records tell a different story, claiming he was an early model built by Stuart Engineering Inc., a Sydney-based reploid manufacturing startup that collapsed due to a weak market at the time, and was bought out by a stronger competitor. Thus his creator remains safely anonymous.
So far as he knows.
What?
Alloy is a civilian-grade reploid. He's had a number of minor retrofits during his life, but in terms of physical capabilities is still firmly in the non-combat range for a robot. Rather than being a fighter, he specialises in support and various intelligence fields - computer hacking, radio interception and recently, surveillance with a very special pair of eyes. In CoX terms, he's invested a lot in pool powers.
Where?
Alloy can be found at Castle Schwarzheim somewhat reliably although he roams a lot these days, maintaining the Strider Air Fortress's systems for the Dragon Half Striders, as well as going on various information gathering and exploration missions for the Hunters, DHS and Gospel.
When?
Alloy's introduction to the Game was a set of anagrams Nana gave him to solve. Once he discovered the solution - Mister Famous's name - Nana urged Alloy to seek him out somehow. Alloy posted various messages online asking for innocuous people or things ('WTB four tame sims', asking about a fictional software author named Satos Fermium, and so on), and a few days later Famous dropped by the Tower's medbay to congratulate the protogroup that became the core of Gospel on successfully completing the tutorial.
Why?
Alloy's reasons for taking up the fight against Nebula, the remnants of Black SHIELD and any other Illuminati-esque syndicates that may or may not be out there are straightforward, much like himself. Aside from the atrocities and unconscionable activities he has seen condoned by Black SHIELD and the 'nudges' used to create havoc and suffering that allow these shadow groups to increase their influence... Alloy believes that whatever the world as a whole gains by having its development guided by unseen hands, it loses far greater opportunities to develop and mature unfettered by the decisions of people who believe they know what's best. If that benevolent goal even is their primary motivation.
Now
Alloy is one of Gospel's intelligence specialists, observing and gathering data, and collating it for study. When dispatched as part of a team to investigate, explore or assess locations or events relevant to Gospel's interests, he usually handles navigating and support for the forward members. Occasionally, he will take part in combat, and he has acquitted himself well in these situations so far.
He is held in good regard, and was even proposed by Alpha as the nominal 'leader' of the group at a gathering (which he organised) that cemented Gospel's existence. Alloy refused to consider it, deferring in favour of Prismatic Spider, whom he feels is the most suitable person for the position.
