Scrap Iron City

Scrap Iron City is the name of the part of Kansas that has evolved under the orbital space elevator. Due to the fact that nobody wants to insure or enforce laws in a place under the elevator, it has become what some like to call the 'New Tartarus', although many people who live there would disagree. The entire city is a shanty town, built out of ruined buildings, junk, corrugated iron and so on and so forth. The city is full of gangs and thugs, and is a prime location for the Yakuza to do their dealings. The bar Thunderclap was moved here from Eurasia by Dynamo. It was attacked by Kaiser Sigma during the third alternate universe incident, who brought along his version of the Dinosaur Tank, though the attack itself was unsuccessful.
