Robert Alexander Taft is a time traveler and the self-proclaimed master of evil. Taft claims to be from the 29th century, though it is unknown as to where (and when) he originally came from. The cause of Taft's desire to recreate the multiverse is a mystery to everyone save Taft himself. Taft's flagrant, open villainy and desire to remake the entire multiverse in his own corpulent image puts him at odds with every single person who has ever existed or will ever exist. Taft is equipped with a variety of technological gadgets and items that give him almost godlike power over his surroundings, but is limited by what he is able to steal because of his limited ability to adapt what he steals to his own purposes. Taft appears to be permanently fused into his bathtub-like dimensional ship because of his enormous girth, but this may be a deception intended to confuse his enemies. His black bowler hat and bushy handlebar moustache has become synonymous on many worlds with peril.
