About
Recoil Man is not Spring Man. His unusual design made him useful to Patriarch as something other than spare parts. His light frame and high endurance made him a natural choice as Patriarch's standard bearer, someone capable of leading the charge, getting in close with the enemy, and tearing it apart with extreme prejudice. Recoil Man takes intense pleasure in extreme exertion, and finds nothing more enjoyable than spending hours sparring with the likes of Pugilation Man. His other passion, explosives, tends to be a more solitary pursuit due to Recoil Man's reckless deployment of his erratically bouncing exploding springs. He has far too much energy and far too little to expend it on, making him likely to get into trouble.

- Recoil enjoyed simple pleasures like tea, chess, fencing and tying damsels to rail tracks.
- Recoil Man had a 'speech impediment' that demanded he add 'wot' to the end of sentences regardless of need.
- Recoil Man had a very long 'dastardly' curly moustache, black top hat and manacle as part of his Gentleman look as well as a bow tie for pure style.
