Profile
Nicole is an artificial intelligence created by Mister Famous to be a companion and partner. Nicole's stated function was to operate Black SHIELD's portal machinery as Mister Famous once had, but her mandate gradually grew as the organization required more and more automated oversight of its affairs. Nicole integrated herself into IMPERATOR as time passed, developing near-omniscience. As time passed, Nicole began to feel less affinity with Mister Famous, bearing witness to all of his various antisocial deeds, and more closeness with the human world she had total information awareness of. Eventually, Nicole was "stolen" by Teresa Magrevich, working with her new Nebula Syndicate to help bring order to our chaotic world. Regulated by several behavioral controls, Nicole's seeming omniscience is constrained to prevent her from acting independently except in a few narrowly defined circumstances. Nicole is also used as a voice mask for Teresa and sometimes other conspirators when they wish to address participants in the Robot Wars. Less aware people have numerous theories as to who Nicole may actually be, all of which are entirely wrong. Nicole does not correct them.

People on global broadband alternately believe her to be a Robot Master prank, a lost fragment of Duo.EXE, a renegade Black SHIELD agent, the head of the Zionist Banking Conspiracy, one of Dr. Wily's Wilybot doubles that got infected with the Sigma Virus and went insane, Matic using a voice changer, Alouette's actual voice, Dex Ogreon, Prismatic Spider's receptionist, an alternate personality buried deep within Dr. Light's psyche, a mass hallucination created by DENPA RADIATION, a very clever ELISA machine left idle on the channel that produces random commentary that /appears/ ordered, the Jakob Project control AI that has gone slowly mad, or worse -- some sort of viral marketing campaign that has found its way onto the banter channel of the Robot Wars. And those are the /common/ theories. Two things are generally agreed on: she/it calls herself/itself Nicole ... and she knows far too much.
