Once nothing but a line-built systems administration reploid, Nana, aka 'Magnificent Seven' has grown from a humble beginning to one of the world's best hackers. Formerly a Hunter, she left the organization to become involved full-time in the controversial Gospel 'NetMafia', ostensibly to wage war against the mysterious and shadowy Nebula Syndicate and all who would help them in their goal of secret world domination. After the forced dissolution of Gospel, the embittered Nana has found herself working with the same organization her late friend Riot worked so hard to establish -- LEGIONS. Still struggling to move forward after her experiences with the sadistic Silver Horn, Nana finds social interaction difficult and is often perceived negatively for her previous actions or general attitude. In real life, she is frequently subdued, morose, and withdrawn, but online, she is well-known for her lively, enthusiastic and wildly boisterous personality, as well as her readiness to engage in netbattling or daring hacks, and her former 'apprenticeship' to the mysterious Magician, Mister Famous.

Magnificent Seven

Magnificent Seven is Nana's sole online persona, an avatar made in homage to and inspired by the Greek goddess Athena. It is the only form in which Nana will appear in Cyberspace, and indeed, Nana will often openly object to being called 'Nana' instead of 'Magnificent Seven' while online. Magnificent Seven is, in a few words, famous on the Internet. Notorious both for her open and friendly manner and willingness to fight any and all comers, Magnificent Seven has a history of friendly contention with a number of more elite and well-known hackers, including one who would later become her boyfriend. She is equally (and sometimes more) well-known amongst Internet types for a period of time in which she was a notably successful cybercriminal, cracking bank vaults and noobs like peanuts. It is not widely known what prompted this rash of illegal activity, but it ceased once the hacker gained employment as a data security consultant and guardian of Tianna Camp, and marked the beginning of her official adopting of the moniker 'Magnificent' where she had previously just been 'Seven'. Now, the again-friendly and boisterous Magnificent Seven is one of the guardians of the Hunter Hub, which currently takes a form known as 'the Hanging Gardens', or the Gardens for short. She is fond also of running raids on the servers of other factions, but has decreased her formerly-constant v-fighting in the past year. It is very mysterious. Nana's reason for her particular choice of avatar is not immediately obvious. It is well-known that she has an affinity for ancient Greco-Roman culture, but whether it predates her appearance on the Internet is not. Athena, of course, is the virgin goddess of war, guile, and craft, not to mention the advocate of the modern concept of justice, not a bad choice in any case.
