Profile
"Kindness is the best medicine!"
A creation of HeraCorp, Melody is a kind, giving robot built as a medical nurse. When first activated, she went where she felt her services were most needed, and did a global tour around the world helping victims of Maverick attacks. She eventually settled in with Interpol, since within that organization she believed she could do the most good for the most people, either in the hospital or on the line of duty as a field medic and emotional support. She is primarily a pacifist and does not believe in fighting, though she has a few emergency backup systems she can use for that purpose if things get really difficult on the job. In her timeline, she is great friends with the Maverick Hunter Cinnamon, and they have helped one another out on more than one occasion.
Background
15th Feb 2219- Melody enters several Battle and Chase events, forming a dodgeball team with Tron and Cinnamon, competing in virtual combat, and cheerleading in soccer. Virtual Combat is so successful that a permenant venue for it is set up in San Angeles.
1st June 2219- Melody sings in Ragnarock and Roll, the concert designed to help defeat Ra Moon. Although many other people sing various energetic or hard rock songs, Melody performs 'For Good' from the 21st century musical 'Wicked' with Javelin Whitetail.
4th August 2219- Working with Jazz and Sonata, Pink Alert arrests Dr. Weil for crimes against humanity, stopping him before he can unleash the Genocide Virus and saving 18% of the world's population of mechanical life.
10th November 2219- Melody and Javelin Whitetail are on patrol in San Angeles when a massive dimensional discontinuity pulls them, along with Cut Man, Elec Man, Ballade, Sword Man, Gemini Man and Kraft into the MUSH's universe. Melody and Javelin meet an enormous amount of people, including Blues who explains things to them, Riot who hugs them, and Meddy who scares her.
11th November 2219- Melody catches up with Cut Man and Elec Man outside of the Reploid Room, where they meet the other world's Prismatic Spider and Epsilon, who is a commander and not, as they know him, a celebrity talkshow host. They discuss the alternate worlds, although Melody is beginning to dislike and fear the other one already. Later, Ebullition meets Javelin, and Melody wanders out of the city limits to give Jav some time to speak to him. She comes across a confrontation between both of the Krafts, and warns Javelin of the problem. Returning to the city, she entertains Bon Bonne.
12th November 2219- Old San Angeles has connected to the Internet, and so Melody shows Prismatic and Zach Glen around the netbattle colosseum. She warns them of NumberMan.EXE, and has an exhibition match against Flow Ronin, which she loses. Later that day, Ballade appears with his Robot Overlords, and causes general destruction in the city.
13th November 2219- Ballade commits wanton acts of destruction in the Historical District of San Angeles. Melody is on hand to rescue people.
15th November 2219- Blues and Melody stare down Shadow, who is dissuaded from causing random violence.
16th November 2219- Melody has to fight off Gigabolt Man-o-War, who attempts to steal toys from a shop. Later that day, she attends a sleepover organised by Meddy as a peace offering, which is also attended by Cinnamon and Sewa.
17th November 2219- Auto and Lifesaver announce a meeting to discuss dimensional physics, which Melody attends, as does Prismatic Spider. They try to think about the losigstics of the universes and the failure of Auto to find the missing San Angeles. They begin to draft out their plan to return San Angeles home, and Melody lets her friends know.
18th November 2219- Melody and Cut Man realise that they have forgotten about Kraft, and begin to ask around to see if anyone has heard of what he's doing. They learn that NumberMan.EXE has been destroyed, and also that Dr. Wily has kidnapped Ballade in an attempt to figure out the error of the Wilycode. Determined to stop him, Melody battles the LifeVirus in the Robot Master Hub, while Alloy and Nana protect her against the WilyDragon.ICE. She brings down the Robot Master servers entirely. Frustrated that he cannot continue his research, Wily destroys Ballade.
19th November 2219- Sitting around in the police headquarters, Melody and Javelin talk to one another and remind each other of their friendship. Melody thanks her for helping her every step of the way. They also discuss the gift Prismatic gave them, which contains the full and uncut details of the shadow groups working against the world. Melody and Javelin vow that Pink Alert will stop them. Later that day, the Dimensional Stabilizer has been fixed, and after taking some photos to remember them by, Prismatic Spider and Auto send them all back to their universe.
Personality
Melody is the medic and the heart of Pink Alert, and is purely innocent and kind. She is often soft-spoken, and almost never gets angry. She often cooks and prepares social events for the other members of Pink Alert to go to, and buys them presents and lends them money. She is able to do this because she actually has a significant amount of money made from being a musical star, but doesn't ever think to keep the money for herself.
Melody has a lot of internal fortitude, but publically, she is very timid. She always defers to Javelin in many situations and does not like to presume, but can take the initiative when she needs to. However, she sometimes feels a need to let Javelin know where she is, mostly because she worries about her a lot.
Melody wished to do what she could to do good in the alternate universe, and was initially all for it, but within days she got very scared of the inhabitants of the world and wanted to go home. She didn't believe the world was beyond saving, but she wasn't sure how to make a big difference. She will miss the people she met there, but always thinks of them with pity for their world.
Trivia/Facts
- Javelin Whitetail is very protective of Melody and always calls her 'kid'.
- Melody had a little tiny crush on Elec Man.
- Melody made as sure as possible that the equilibrium was maintained between worlds, bringing in replacement items to her San Angeles when things were stolen and so on to prevent entropy.
Other
Melody was a TP character played for the third Alternate Universe TP. During this, San Angeles was replaced by an alternate San Angeles which had not been destroyed. Uniquely in this, Melody was the only 'new' TP character- Javelin Whitetail, Ballade, Elec Man, Cut Man and Sword Man were played by their existing players and reprofiled. The universe was returned to its proper place and replaced by an alternate universe used before, where the Mavericks had won, ruled by Kaiser Sigma!
