Mars, the red planet, was once home to a peaceful civilization. That civilization was destroyed by the Stardroids eons ago.

The computer entity Ra Moon was found on Mars during an expedition lead by members of many major factions. Ra Moon then followed them back to Earth. He was in control of a vast army of Reavers, a type of drone designed from Martian crystal technology. Intelligent Reavers such as Ninetails are an advanced form of this design.
