"Sounds like someone ate one too many Play-Doh donuts as a kid."

To unsuspecting viewers, Lunar Wolfman is just another generic reploid -- mundane, unmemorable. But when he uses the power of the Full Moon, an engine within his chassis, he transforms into a fearsome beast. He once served as a loyal Repliforce ground and space unit, ultimately becoming jaded and bitter and, through desensitization through the years, thirsting for greater violence. In the dark of the night he escaped, joining under the banner of Lumine and the Mavericks. He is bound to the cause, but only tangently -- he just wants to be able to fight to his heart's content and not worry about consequences. This reploid is aloof, cold, and sarcastic most of the time; he can be easy to get along with but his moods shift like the phases of the moon. On the downside, he is unnervingly casual about throwing his powers of destruction around and has no mercy. Lunar is a quick and well-balanced warrior, utilizing mostly his claws, teeth, and his so-called 'power of the moon'. Between bouts of coolness and a facade of calmness, he is prone to fits of rage in combat.

Lunar Wolfman isn't old or young in terms of reploid history; he was in the middle, when the Japanese security company that made him, in cooperation with the space agency that commissioned him was experimenting with new forms and ideas. The result was his birth. The Full Moon drive inside of him could wrap an armor 'shell' around his body, augmenting it in size and appearance -- not surprising, given his werewolf moniker. Lunar was hired out for various jobs along the way as nightwatch, and on occasion he made trips to orbit to assist in the repair of satellites and stations; he was liked for his good work and strange humor.

When the Robot Masters took over his country, Lunar was encouraged to take action. He saw no reason not to, as he saw the Masters as a nuisance in the way of ants taking over a picnic; he entered the Repliforce, working through boot camp with great success, though his fellows often underestimated him with embarassing results (on their end). The military modified his body so he could take greater shock. From then on, Lunar was in the army, fighting with what he could to liberate both Europe and Asia. He even kind of liked it. Really, really liked it.

... Of course, they also underestimated the effect that all of this trauma would do to him. Steadily, Lunar was exposed to more and more violence in the escalating conflict, seeing what most were not meant to. He seemed to take it well, aside from a disconcerting rise of force he used, even against those who couldn't defend themselves. He was punished for his actions, demoted, and brigged at one point, but this didn't stop him.

Eventually, he did snap -- in the middle of a large Neo Arcadian battle -- and decided to take leave, getting into touch with various other parties. He has recently resurfaced as as Maverick; even without the virus, he is just fine where he is now.

Specifications/Personality

Short Note: Was once a Sergeant in the Repliforce infantry; originally a reploid equipped for monitoring security systems on land and in orbit. Went AWOL during a battle in 2219, and appears to have gone renegade. Notable for the Full Moon Drive, a system that encases an armor shell around his body and powers up into the form of a wolf.

Education and Skills: Security analysis, above-average intellect; physics, orbital systems/satellite upkeep and repair, licensed and certified to drive military vehicles, combat training, battle tactics, fluent in both English and Japanese.

Lunar is a reploid of many contradictions. He values freedom and wishes to do whatever he wants; yet, he's been conditioned and drilled to obey authority, something so deeply embedded in him that he only thinks about it when it's brought to his attention. He is a beast that thirsts for blood; yet he struggles to control himself, sometimes to the point where he surrenders to his will and allows himself to go wild. He is casual, if only to mask the seriousness of battle. He is sardonic and cold, appearing to put others down or use them as entertainment; yet, in reality, he is modest and humble about his skills, which he wishes to hone. He enjoys trickery.

Outside of combat he can be found mostly in his 'man' form. He only really utilizes his wolf form when he needs or wants to -- while fighting, if the kind of damage he has taken forces him to remain in it, while in orbit, or just because he wants to be able to enjoy food (he has no mouth in human shape). This is because the Full Moon Drive, when used in long-term operations, tends to drain him of energy and needs to be recharged every now and then.

Trivia/Facts

Lunar Wolfman enjoys music and is sometimes seen donning headphones even in fights. Worse still, it's usually really sugary cheerful pop.

Lunar likes to look at the stars. He usually hides this fact.

Someday, Lunar will move to the moon and sell out land. Lunar estimates that this will make him very rich. Reach for the stars, Lunar. Reach for the stars.

Lunar will bite you in half.

Lunar looks up to people like Bass, Mega Man, Zero, Vile, and the like and aims to fight all of them at least once in his life. He keeps a tally in his head.
