Below is a list of common acronyms and terms that are used here on M3 (see below ;D):

  • IC - In Character:

The 'in game' reality. If you are 'IC' or in an 'IC' area, then you should behave as your character.

  • NPC - Non-Player Character:

Any character not regularly controlled by a an actual player, be they background 'gumbies' or admin-controlled entities meant to further the storyline but not be day to day personalities.

  • RP - Role Play:

Jeez I really hope you knew this one before coming here. :D

  • TP - Tiny Plot:

  • FC - Feature Character:

This can be used as a catch all term for any persona that has appeared in the various Mega Man games.

  • EFC - Essential Feature Character:

Feature Characters that are very pivotal to their faction, such as high level commanders.

  • OC - Original Character:

Characters that have not appeared in the Mega Man games, and were instead created by the player that plays them.

  • Fachead - Faction Head:

  • TS - Tiny Sex:

  • Mis, Mischan, Mismush, Mischar, Mispage, Mav - I Messed Up:

Terms used to describe when one accidentally says something in the wrong place or time possibly with the wrong character or on a completely different MU*. Hopefully not associated with TS (see above).

  • Gumbies - Cannon Fodder:

Basically any NPC that is there to be shot at or otherwise fought with as a distraction, or a tool for the bored during fights when they don't have a PC to shoot at. These are not to be used excessively either as enforcement tools or lambs for the slaughter.

  • Squishie - Human:

A derogatory term used by some robots to describe humans.

The Repliforce Flagship. Think a big Star Destroyer.

The global governing force, this should not be mistaken for the United Nations that we know in real life. Here on M3, the United Nations oversees the administration of most of the world's countries.

  • INTERPOL - International Police:

The branch of the United Nations that handles all peace keeping and criminal investigation operations.

The term 'Maverick' is a catch all used by most humans to describe any robot that has turned on humanity. It does not always imply that the target of such a label is indeed a member of the Maverick faction, which is officially known as the Coalition for Reploid Freedom.

A yearly festival held by all the people of the world. Set up in a similiar vein as the real world's Olympics, people from all allegiances and cultures come together to compete in several events.

What happens when Wily's intellect meets the Bad Crack. Otherwise known as the group faction of Dr. Wily's clone son, Scott Wily, and Sigma's metrosexual brother, Epsilon.

Only two have ever been held, which was the debut of Dr. Light's first son, Blues, the second the debut of Scott Wily's Omniroids and the Irregular Overlords.

The term used to describe Gate's first happy band of Reploids, also known as the 8 bosses from Megaman X6.

Gate's second band of Reploids. Also used as an abbreviation for Ride Armor. Yes, both at once. We never said this wasn't confusing.

Small personal armor for humans and cyborgs. Think Exo-Squad, or the power loader from the end of Aliens. Also the mailing abbreviation for Pennsylvania.

  • Special - Retarded:

Here at M3, according to Bridgit Cascio, the word 'Special' does indeed mean 'Retarded'.

  • FlamMan, Duff McWhalen:

Often used examples of Capcom's inability to translate something correctly.

  • The Wilybrow - International Gesture of Pimpness:

An ability possessed by Dr. Wily and his more prominent sons (most commonly exercised by Zero). It can be described as the wiggling of ones eyebrows in unison, often displayed by Dr. Wily within the original Mega Man continuity of games.

  • Bass's Law:

The size of your pose is inversely proportionate to your ability to strike your opponent with the attack it is describing.

  • Bass - Thump not Flounder:

Bass is pronounced like 'base' and is definately not pronounced like the fish. Failure to comply with this mandate could easily land you on the wrong side of the Neo-Buster.
