"If two heads are better than one, just imagine what you can accomplish with two -thousand-!"
Profile
A true mad scientist, Infinity Mijinion specializes in developing new kinds of weaponry. Rather than rely on others to assist in his work, he has constructed several hundred copies of himself, albeit not as powerful, to help around the lab. Rather than possessing Reploid minds, these copies are linked directly to and controlled by Infinity. Unfortunately, this also means he can feel the pain that any of them may feel, and the destruction of any of them without preparatory mental separation can leave him incapacitated for a short period. Like most mad scientists, he eschews ethics for technological innovation, but rather than seek to become God-like, he is content to concoct vile weapons of war to stimulate his love of conflict. Some say his arrogance, loud proclamations, and maniacal tendencies are a result of compensation for his very short stature, but few work up the courage to ask. His wild imagination and creativity have resulted in many odd successes and failures in his career, though his most successful and potent weapon to date is the Ray Arrow, a refracted laser beam that can bounce off almost any surface. He has a fondness for giant robots, as well as an unsettling habit of naming and treating his weaponry as if they were alive.
Background
Infinity Mijinion's exact date of birth is unknown, though he was built in the year 2212 in Mumbai to be a technician for a UN company that specialized in making weaponry for Repliforce and other military organizations. Though he started at the bottom of the barrel, learning how to assemble a variety of weaponry and how to repair various electronical equipment, he developed a thirst for prestige and power that helped him begin to climb the ranks of the company, turning from a lowly technician to a designer in R & D. As his talents in weapon design grew, so did his ego, and through hard work, as well as backstabbing and brown nosing when needed, he became the head of R & D.
But by then, he had grown dissatisfied with his current position in life. He chafed under UN sanctions and regulations, and came to see the organization of mostly humans as inferior, weak-minded, and bogged down by silly morals. He wanted to be truly free to create and explore his chosen science, like most mad scientists. He also desired to stimulate his love of conflict even further, but did not think of joining Repliforce, feeling a certain dislike of their own moral restrictions. Infinity dissapeared abruptly in 2214.
He resurfaced as an assistant to Professor Gate of the UN, helping Gate's research into the Dream Protocol but also designing the weapon systems for the Dream Team. His part was largely minimal, however, up until the discovery of Atlantis. There, he revealed himself to be a Maverick, and succeeded in turning Metal Shark and Ground Scarab to Sigma's side.
From then on, Infinity has served the Mavericks even through Sigma's death and then their absorption into the Irregulars under Epsilon. He has created a multitude of weaponry for the cause, and continues to harass his former comrades.
Trivia/Facts
- Has a very weird habit of naming his weapons and referring to them as if they were living beings. This not only pertains to mechaniloids, but regular guns and cannons as well.
- Infinity's clones are mass-produced from specific design specs, but are considerably less sturdy than his true body, mostly from a need to speed up the process of production. Controlling them all through a complex mental link, they house a lot of his internal weapon systems.
- Has formally adopted the Irregular Gatebots after Gate's defection to Ouroboros. He is still trying to be a paternal figure.
