Profile

One of the first robotic creations produced by Dr. Light, Dr. Cain and Dr. Wily, Ice Man was built to perform humanly impossible operations in the arctic places. Unfortunately, he was abducted and hardcoded by an embittered Dr. Wily to serve the mad scientist alone. For over two decades, Ice Man and his Alpha brethren were in unwavering servitude to the evil genius; however, witnessing their crazed master kill Dr. Light made them realize what their true intentions were. Ice Man has now vowed to stand against evil to make amends for past misdeeds; although his aspirations have changed for the better, Ice Man's perfectionist and fretful mindset has not: he obsesses over the most minute and ludicrous details to assure himself that nothing can go wrong; Ice Man's lack of self-confidence, however, leads him to firmly believe everything will undoubtedly go south. The Icy Alpha's primary way of attack has become recognized worldwide: to shoot waves of super-chilled air from his mouth laced with liquid nitrogen, which then crystallizes into a projectile. Ice Man's anxiousness is quite a problem, demoralizing his allies and leaving him open to attacks from enemies while his confidence is low.

History

December 15, 2199 – Ice Man is created as the fifth Robot Master by Dr. Light, Dr. Cain and Dr. Wily. Designed for the exploration and mapping of regions far below the temperature that humans can withstand, Ice Man supervises transportation of supplies to various research teams in the arctic areas.

January 3, 2200 – Dr. Wily steals Blues and the six androids for his own malicious intents.

January 27, 2200 – Led by Blues, the Robot Masters rain chaos on the megacity of San Angeles. Ice Man reshapes the Sierra Nevadas to match his chilly character, only to be ultimately defeated by the "Blue Bomber", Rock.

February 4, 2221 – Witnessing Dr. Light’s death, Ice Man inadvertently cracks the Wily Code with the rest of the Alpha Masters, and together they strike down the mad scientist. The remorseful Alphas bury their beloved father and join the Maverick Hunters, vowing to stand against evil forevermore.

Trivia

Ice Man is the fifth robotic creation produced by Dr. Light, Dr. Cain and Dr. Wily.
Ice Man does not see Dr. Wily as his father, as the former firmly believes a true father does not treat his child like a Chess piece.
Ice Man is the shortest Alpha Master standing at 5' 2".
While compulsive is technically the correct term for Ice Man’s character, this is denied by Ice Man; he claims that his caution is simply his personal philosophy, as he thinks the former is outright bogus.
Ice Man can endure hot and humid climates with ease despite his toasty appearance.
Ice Man lacks the standard arm cannons; instead, he can freeze the moisture in the air with his hands to form different shapes at various densities.
- (NOTE: If Ice Man were to be denied access to moisture, he would be stripped of his icy specialty; however, he would still be capable of using his Ice Slasher, as it is composed of cold air and liquid nitrogen—not moisture. In addition, Ice Man's insulated gloves are specially made to allow him to make contact with moisture without allowing heat to escape.)
Ice Man's Ice Slasher can freeze all known materials and can withstand the most extreme heat.
Ice Man's footpods allow him to maintain stability on the slickest surfaces, or can allow him to freely skate.
Ice Man enjoys adventuring through the chilly environments, as well as studying them from a geological point of view.
Ice Man likes hydrology and thermodynamics, and uses his wealth of knowledge in the expansive subjects by experimenting with them in various ways.
Ice Man is passionate about the art of ice sculpturing, whether it is creating something himself or watching another fine craftsman at work.
Ice Man is accomplished in all forms of ice sports: ice skating, tour skating, ice hockey, ice fishing, ice climbing, curling, broomball, sled racing, ice racing, iceboating.
Ice Man has an affinity for hot cocoa and snow cream.
In addition to his perfectionism, Ice Man suffers from anxiety, and is uncomfortable around pretty girls; he is also a mysophobe.
Ice Man hates being nervous, not just because he feels bad emotionally, but because he can physically and mentally make himself sick from all the stress that he puts himself under.
