Profile
Hien is one of the most hated human beings in the world. A genetic construct created by Grandmaster Meio by compositing the "best" traits from numerous Striders, Hien has been conditioned to be absolutely loyal to Grandmaster Meio. This conditioning does not stop Hien from engaging in loutish, self-serving behavior enabled by a combination of his hyper-accelerated neurological development and his superhuman physical attributes. Comically vain and selfish, Hien does little to try to shake the legacy of his predecessors. Why would he? Hien feels himself to be the greatest and best human being in the world; the vanguard of a new human race. Everyone should obey him and fulfill his desires. This opinion is not shared throughout Ouroboros, resulting in him tending to attract a great deal of negative attention. Control over Hien is maintained via the Grandmaster's heavy mental conditioning, but sometimes even this is inadequate. When all else fails, a series of cybernetic implants through Hien's central nervous system allow him to be remotely disabled so to be more easily dealt with. The threat of using Hien's 'shutdown' trigger tends to quiet him, at least for a little while, and has made him much more affable to working within the constraints of an organized military force. Hien's primary ally in Ouroboros is Sheena, though she often has her own self-serving agenda.
Background
Hien 1.0 was genetically engineered from the greatest Striders in the world. He was bred by Sheena, taught to relish chaos, murder, crime, and corruption. He killed without mercy and was finally stopped during Ra Moon's invasion of the planet after he joined the Evil Alien's Black Guard.
Hien's genetic stock was later taken and reused by Grandmaster Meio to create an army of shocktroopers. But they say that there is no gene for fate. Something about Hien 2.0 was different, because he survived while all his shocktrooper duplicates died. Perhaps it was luck, perhaps it was fate. Perhaps out of all the clones, this one was special. This one somehow got away when everyone else died.
He was a free man for a few months before the Grandmaster recaptured him and forced him into the Zain machine. However due to his unique mental state Hien somehow manages to break his brainwashing, so the Grandmaster installed a series of cybernetic implants into his brain in a effort to better control the strider with some success. The end result is that Hien is currently controlled by the grandmaster.
He really doesn't like that.
Trivia/Cool Facts
- Hien flirted with Epsilon in an entirely non-sexual manner.
- Hien spent some time concealed in the Alternate Dimension where all of the Neo Arcadians were robots. He still has the robotic Sage Harpuia's head in a box somewhere. He's waiting to put it on the hood of his car.
- Hien is somewhat sympathetic to robot and androids and has helped the Irregulars before. Being a creation himself this is hardly surprising
