History

HeraCorp was formed in 2217 by Sewa with support from Cossack Industries who supplied funds for the company's early growth. Claiming she was a new reploid and fell into the Coalition out of ignorance, HeraCorp emphasizes the freedom of its reploids in terms of lifestyle, name, and form but it also emphasizes the responsibility of informed decisions. Reploids constructed by HeraCorp are expected to have a strong comprehension of history and tend to be good at what they do, since they want to do it rather than being merely constructed to do it.

Though it started small, HeraCorp has grown to become a rather large organization due to support from friendly corporations such as Cossack Industries and Light Labs and its higher-than-norm ethical standards. A facility in Canada was constructed as its second base and soon it expanded away from just reploid construction as it absorbed some of the remains of besieged megacorps caught in illegal activities. The HeraCorp method has also been taken by other reploid-construction companies though it does fall under criticism ranging from it being too intensive or not supportive enough.

One predominate industry HeraCorp has focused on was deep space exploration and mining. In a recent GSTE, Sewa produced evidence of life on other worlds besides just Mars and has since utilized asteroid mining as a method of supporting HeraCorp expenses and as another source of revenue. Most predominately perhaps are the Space Mirrors being constructed by HeraCorp to help facilitate Mars' growth into a sustainable and livable planet over the long term.

The greatest blow struck against HeraCorp was probably the loss of Melody and her conversion to Meddy by the Evil Dr. Wily. Melody was a San Angeles hero before her reprogramming and many HeraCorp creations hold a grudge against Enker (who captured her) and Wily as a result, predominately Sewa, Scarface, and Depth Dragoon.

This crime led another creation, Baroque, into throwing his own freedom away to Ra Moon--becoming the first HeraCorp creation to actually be disowned by Sewa. Still, his death and betrayal of life is a well known pain for her and she tries to avoid discussion about him.

Currently HeraCorp seems to be focusing on space exploration and mining and their reploid work has, for now, stabilized.
