Profile

Grandmaster Meio may be immortal. Little is known about his early life, only that he was an ancient and powerful Grandmaster before the current group of Striders was born. He appeared briefly in 2219, but was defeated when his apparent plot to exterminate all non-Striders from the Earth was foiled. Now Meio has risen again, this time plotting to conquer the world through military conquest. A social Darwinist, Meio believes that the strongest members of humanity should rule over their lessers, allowing for a world truly ruled by the strongest and best people. Meio is zealous in his pursuit of cultivating human strength, and sees almost any means to this end are acceptable to him. All of the "old gods" that have ruled humanity throughout its history must be cast down to satisfy humanity's need for strength. Despite his archaic appearance, Meio embraces science for its abilities to create efficient weapons. However, the Grandmaster feels that only "true" Striders created by eugenic-style breeding programs are worthy of being the masters of the world. The Grandmaster comes across to the uninitiated as an eccentric but very articulate ascetic, extensively learned across the full gamut of human knowledge with a specialization in human genetics. Meio's long years of training have granted him fantastic abilities in battle, making him one of the deadliest human beings in the history of humanity.
