Genocide Virus

While Dr. Weil was experimenting with the rapidly mutating Sigma Virus in hopes of controlling Reploids, he stumbled across a strain of the virus that could kill a Reploid in a matter of hours. In hopes of bringing himself to the tops of Neo Arcadia's ranks, he threw away his business with Umbrella and gave Neo Arcadia the virus in the form of weapons and a joint secret cyborg project known as Omega.

The Genocide Virus was generally transmitted by mechfluid spray weapons, but Omega and certain Neo Arcadians carried waveform emitters that transferred the virus directly. These forms of the virus were especially deadly. Many reploids died within seconds when exposed to this.

The Genocide Virus eventually mutated along with Omega. A rapid developed clone, Omega eventually suffered Hien Syndrome and began to pull himself away from reality. He started to attack Cyborgs and all mechanical life in hopes of making a new word.

Despite being eager for the Genocide Virus, when the Virus mutated, every single Neo Arcadian decided they hated it and blamed Dr. Weil.
