Frank West is a freelance photojournalist loosely affiliated with GNN. As one would expect, covering the Robot Wars in pictures requires a high level of athleticism and nerves of titanium. Never one to shy away from the hard story, Frank has been all over the world, covering the chaos of the war in pictures even when reporters have been formally told to stay away. Frank has an ego about his work, thinking himself to be one of the last great still photo craftsmen of the age. He wants to move people with his photos, but most importantly he wants to show people the truth of the world. Any picture may be worth a thousand words, but a great picture can change the world. Frank has often been accused of being overly cocky, and aggressively pursues a story even when he probably should back down. Beneath Frank's tough exterior is a man who cares a great deal about people, and seeks to win social justice for the average person against the monolithic forces arranged against them.
Background
Less than year ago if you were to mention the name Frank West, chances are people would give you a strange look and a "Who's that?" unless they were rooted deeply in the fourth estate. Only people directly affiliated with GNN, and even then only those tied to handling the affairs of news from freelance reporters would be able to tell you exactly who Frank West was, and even then you wouldn't get much other than "freelance photojournalist who goes a little farther than most to get a scoop". As of October 28, 2220 however, Frank West is a name forever recorded in the history books as a Pulitzer Prize winner and one of the most intrepid reporters the world has ever known.
Hearing word that the U.S. military had blockaded the small town of Williamette, CO, Frank immediately hired a private helicopter and flew to the Willamette Parkview Mall in search of a groundbreaking scoop. He certainly found one, but at the same time he met great danger and the solid possibility that he could lose his life in pursuit of his story. Through boundless determination and almost superhuman ability however, Frank West managed to survive the zombie outbreak in Williamette, CO despite overwhelming odds. Conquering zombie hordes, ex-Pantheon terrorists, and Nicole impersonators, Frank managed to conquer all obstacles with the help of the various other survivors who flocked to Williamette. In the end, Frank even managed to collect the photographs necessary to put together an article detailing the incident and was praised as amazing journalist through the awarding of a Pulitzer Prize.
But Carlito's words still rang in Frank West's ears: "And yet he complained that his belly was not full."
Trivia/Facts
-Frank West once attacked Kaiser Sigma head on despite his lack of combat enhancements of power armor. He inflicted multiple injuries of the tyrant, including hitting in the face with a bowling ball and jamming an excavator into his leg.
-Alternate Frank West from the "M3 Zombies" world is known for having rescued the team there from the zombie hordes.
-There is some speculation that Frank West may have been a Strider had he received the appropriate training.
-If you squint, Frank West bears a passing resemblance to Mister Famous.
