Profile
After joining the Maverick Hunters at a young age, Durandal has seen some of the best and worst of the Robot Wars. Despite being crippled by a sudden power-core failure, Durandal continues to loyally support the Hunters with enthusiasim and optimisim. Even though he isn't a capable combatant anymore, Duran is still a master of all manner of weapons and has taken to training and outfitting the other Hunters to better survive their battles against enemies that are now far beyond his ability to personally combat. Occasionally called 'the Little Cossack' for his tendency to take after his mentor, despite his protests to being called that. While he occasionally feels frustraited at his inability to directly take part in the fighting, he still strives to better himself in every way that he can, so that he can help better the world in any way that he can.

Trivia/Facts
- Like all the reploids Dr. Matthews built, Durandal has mismatched eyes, one blue, one yellow.
- Durandal is named for Roland's sword from the Epic of Roland and his children are all named after mythic and legendary weapons as well.
- The highest profile enemy that Durandal has killed to date was Sigma's Champion; Duran's own brother, Foucalt.
- Durandal has two children, Joyeuse and Cortana who are considered fraternal twins.
- Due to his long standing rivalry with Gemini Man, Durandal preforms background checks on his dates unless he knows the woman pretty well already.
- His nickname for Cinnamon is 'Smidget' which is a contraction of 'Sweet little midget'. Cinnamon is thus far unaware of the full meaning.
- Durandal holds several Battle and Chase medals, a silver in Battlebots, a bronze in Battlebots, and a bronze in the discontinued Team Combat. Additionally, he has a fourth place finish in Sharpshooting.
- The original idea for the Alia Buster was a light-hearted joke upon Alia's request for upgrades; two weeks later, the Hunters acquired a large enough chunk of unobtainium to power a new Buster. Plans were instantly set in motion.
- Durandal is legally allowed to marry people in the nation of Japan.
- The word 'Tackata' is derived from one of the Rebel tanks in the game 'Star Wars: Force Commander', the word sounded pretty cool so I used it in several attack names.
- Durandal occasionally jokes that he has a third daughter quietly serving in the Repliforce under an assumed name.
