Profile
Profile: Dr. Jeffery Stevenson is an American who was in the right place at the wrong time. Jeffrey had been shipped overseas to attend the prestigious Berlin School of Theoretical Physics for 4 years, but then the Mavericks took over Germany. Jeffrey was stranded in the midst of it all. He spent the next few years as a member of a Maverick Resistance group, seeing no other way out; there was safety in numbers, and it seemed like a good idea. Unable to really help 'on the front lines' or 'in the field' with his series of expertise, he instead fell back on what he knew -- computer code and ciphers he could use to break into systems and obtain data for the Resistance. Through it all, Jeffrey still yearned to continue his major. When Dr. Weil came along, Jeffrey followed, and was given a new lease on life making temporal devices for the not so good doctor. Jeffrey earned notoriety in Euro Arcadia for his subspace disruptor, his "Chronoton Missile", and of course his Chronomatch Timestopper watch. When the Professor came into his life, Jeffrey took an almost immediate liking to him. The Professor praised and seemingly genuinely respected his research, and Jeffrey sought to learn beneath the brilliant scientist as he learned more about his amazing knowledge. Taking Jeffrey under his wing as an apprentice, the Professor brought him into the Ouroboros, where he toils for the Professor and the Grandmaster.
Background
Dr. Stevenson was a normal boy who grew up in New York. He was in a bad Car Accident at an early age, and a good portion of his body had to be replaced with Cybernetics. In High School, he took to computers, and learned those well... learning small tricks here and there to cause mischief on them.... Math was a high point of his.... he made it to the accelerated Pre-Calc Class before graduating into College... he was fascinated with What Wily had created 'The Time stopper' it was called... imagining being able to control time? Such Power surely could be anyone’s, and not just Wily's to fully control, so He enrolled into the Berlin School of Theoretical Physics... where he studied Subspace, Temporal Streams and a few other minors relating to them.
During his 5th year or so at the school.... and many studies, the Maverick Army rolled over Germany, and The School was leveled in some fighting between Repliforce and the Mavericks. He ran off... finding himself in the hands of some Maverick Resistance members. He joined with them... sure there was safety in Numbers. Unable to be a help out in the field, not being really athletic or able, he stayed behind in safe houses, and use pirated Internet bands to use his Old Hobby, coupled with his knowledge of complex mathematics and ciphers to break into Maverick systems and steal data that might be useful.
When the Mavericks were driven out... he was homeless. His family had passed in a car accident two years back, he had no way to get back, even... and besides, he wanted to continue his research!
Then Weil appeared. He opened his arms to the displaced. He Followed. Surely someone like Weil could provide him with what he needed to continue his research....
He didn’t necessarily care about the cost.... what were a few robots anyways compared to what he wanted to do?
Trivia/Facts
- It's rumored when testing the Chronomatch he caused an entire room full of test subject reploids to explode. While this would have made a devestating weapon, it also caused the heads of people around to explode without proper shielding. This however, is just a rumor!
- The Chronomatch also functions as a perfectly fine normal pocket watch, even through it's timestopping effect. It's keyed in a manner that prevent it's accidental activation while being kept in his pocket.
- It's rumored Dr. Stevenson was once trapped in subspace for approximately 12 hours and faced many horrifying creatures! Some say this is why he's so at peace around Weil's monstrosities, as nothing could compare to that horror.
- Dr. Stevenson doesn't like people who keep 'Super Tech' to themselves (Such as Flash Man's Insanely Awesome Timestopper, and Protoman's Blink Drive.), but at the same time, is reluctant to share his own studies with others.
- Dr. Stevenson has three 'Wilymon' decks, each one is based on each of the timestopping Masters. (Flash Man, Centaur Man and Bright Man) and is based on getting them to the field as fast as possible to cause the most chaos with additonal stall type cards.
- Dr. Stevenson's character came about after a lengthly discussion on CoC how there was no one specfically geared towards the study of timestoppers in existance and such. The name Dr. Stevenson came about because I liked the idea of a character named 'The Incredible Dr. Steve!' without being too blatant about it.
- Dr. Stevenson might now be indirectly responsible for reiving a piece of Ra Moon. OH SHI-.
- Dr. Stevenson almost sucked away the Earth's oxygen when he opened a portal 10 Light Years away in the Cygnus System, into open space, in an experiment to summon more 'green radation' that had appeared during his last outing in Torontreal. Luckily he closed it!
- His first name 'Jeffrey' is a homage to two characters: 'Jeff' the inventor kid in Earthbound, and Jeffrey, the 'Non-Sequiter' character who constantly finds himself involved with dimensional mischief, wether it's operating a time machine, or meeting himself from another dimension.
- |I wonder if it happens everytime... - This is why you'll never be safe from Stevenson.
Creations of Dr. Stevenson!
The Chronomatch - It's a Pocket Watch. It has a mysterious non mechanical button on top with a red light on it. It stops time. It's perhaps unique being a human weiled timestopper the size of a Pocket Watch.
The Chronoton Missile - A Missle that uses a trick similar to the time Flash Man freezed the entire city of New York with a Timestopper in a smaller, more instantly deployable form of a missile.
The Subspace Disruptor - In it's Protoype Stages... it takes the form of a Ghostbusters 'Proton Pack' to a degree. It's a tuned timestopper meant to close subspace access.. useful for shutting off Armor forms of Reploids and possibly blink tech for a small amount of time. A test of it's breaking point in Torontreal led to the summoning of a subspace creature, and ultimately the apparent revival of a piece of Ra Moon, if for a split second. Recently, it has been taken into the form of a Bazooka like Shoulder cannon a human can hold, but it runs very hot, this is the smallest Stevenson can get it on his own... Maybe someone else can help.....
??? (Dimensional Portal Device.) - A Device in the Shadows.. it has three sharp prongs and seems forever in progress... what is this? This device was what was hopefully going to be the begining of a Dimensional Portal Device, Under Weil's orders, but Stevenson stopped when he realized the power output required would be more than a few Suns, thanks to The Professor. It's frame was destroyed with Esyilum exploded, and Stevenson has since abanonded this attempt, perhaps he may pick it back up a future date if he were to get his hands on a suitable power source...
Portal Device - Stevenson made a device to connect two portals together in subspace. The Device takes up half a small room. It has an Airlock on it with a strong forcefield to prevent such disasters from being a big deal, such as opening a portal in space, in the ocean, in a Lava pit, etc, so Checkpoint Delta suddenly becomes a volcano. He can, at the moment, either make a 60 second portal every 24 hours, or two 30 second portals within 4 hours of each other, then a 24 hour cooldown time. He can open an Emergency third portal, this causes the machine to come offline for a good long while, up to a week or so. It works best with Humansized portals, but could probably teleport Mino Magnus with chances for error. It is powered with Force Metal.
Portal Stablizer - A device Stevenson is working on as addition to his Portal device to allow him to keep portals stable, and therefore open more longer, and made more frequently. It is also powered by Force Metal, but is not yet finished...and to be completed at a Plot Appropiate time.
??? - Stevenson has recently been attempting to make a bracelet appear on his wrist from subspace. What he was attempting to do, no one quite knows. Hrm.
