Profile
Douse Elephant was created as part of an internal restructuring program for the State of New York. For several years Douse witnessed the growing problem known as the Robot Wars, and eventually joined STARS to help combat the global threat. Manufactured by Excelsior Tech, the productive giant embodies the meaning of the company name by rising above and beyond the call of duty, yet he still maintains humility and believes the well-being of others should be his only profit. Douse is technologically sound: he is made to survive in a wide range of unstable and hazardous environments, and he uses his versatile trunk to extinguish fires and dispose of dangerous goods, as well as extend it to evacuate the hapless from great heights. In addition, Douse's first-class paramedical skills make him invaluable on the battlefield, which can make the difference between success and failure in a mission. Douse Balloons contain a thick goo that adheres itself to whatever it touches, bonding to the target to significantly restrain movement. Caring and sensitive, failing to protect the innocent is a crippling blow to the behemoth's emotions, and his forgiving nature makes him a bit soft towards his enemies. What's more, Douse's deep love for children can be exploited to provoke him into a mood much different than his usual serene persona, but one would be a fool to do so.

History
August 1, 2214 - September 1, 2214 – Due to the increasing damage inflicted by the Robot Wars and terrorist attacks, the State of New York reaches a monthly all-time high in damage expenses.
September 11, 2214 – Despite numerous attempts, the governor of New York decides the improvement of security will reduce outlandish repair costs and diminish the number of fatalities. Two weeks later she contracts the services of Excelsior Tech, an economical engineering corporation, to devise an inexpensive solution.
December 28, 2215 – Dr. Stanley M. Lieber, Excelsior Tech’s head scientist, unveils The 9/11 Squad to New York’s legislature; the group is comprised of several brave Reploids, who are each fitted for a particular job, while the name of the unit pays homage to the brave men and women of New York who risked their lives to save others from the tragic terrorist attacks that took place over 200 years ago. Douse Elephant, second-in-command of the unit, supplies the FDNY with more hazardous condition personnel.
December 28, 2216 – The State of New York notices a drastic change in reconstruction fees after a year’s pass, all thanks to Excelsior Tech’s band of brave Reploids.
January 2, 2220 – On the heels of New Year’s Day, Douse Elephant leaves The 9/11 Squad and his post with the FDNY to join S.T.A.R.S. He sets his sights on protecting the world as a whole and not just his hometown.
January 7, 2220 – Douse Elephant is sworn into S.T.A.R.S., and Chief R finishes the heaping mound of paperwork to signify their newest acquisition as an official of the international rescue squadron.
Trivia
- Douse is 15' 3".
- Douse's trunk is 7ft. at the minimum, but can extend to 6× that for a maximum length of 42ft. It is also by far the most durable part of his body; however, it is very flexible and stretchy; furthermore, it has a higher threshold for pain than the rest of his body. Douse's third appendage strikes with the speed of an e-snake, and its telescopic rate is far greater than the former.
- Douse's neon caution lights will automatically illuminate if he enters stasis lock: his firefighter helmet will run off a battery that will last up to a month, and is activated by a wireless signal, while the lights that encompass his midsection and arm cannons will draw power from a battery too; however, unlike his helmet, these will switch to stored kinetic energy upon the expiration of the battery's lifespan, and will last for two weeks. This is used in case his body sustains heavy damage and reverts to a stable mode, which will preserve his neural net; the lights give him a much greater chance of being found. By who, that's an entirely different story...
- The goo inside Douse Balloons will jell when exposed to oxygen, and it only takes several moments for it to set. The only way to clean it off without tearing a substance is to use rubbing alcohol (it will breakdown), but only a select few know this ICly; pressurized blasts will also work if done correctly. In addition, the secret concoction repels from itself to slather the target more quickly, and it was unintentional for it to do this when being devised by Excelsior Tech scientists.
- (Buster-users Note: the balloons are quite sturdy and resistant to fire and high temperatures, as well as the gunk inside; they are a bit smaller than a basketball.)
- Douse's tank holds 1.5× as much water as the standard fire truck, and contains smaller items like fire extinguishers and Douse Balloons.
- Douse keeps his arm cannons deployed at all times so he can react immediately to an emergency.
- Douse still has the S.T.A.R.S. shield on his firefighter helmet: it's just been refashioned with the RF insignia in place of the original.
- Douse is easily maintainable, and the charges for doing so are cost-efficient.
- Douse loves peanut-flavored goodies: peanut butter sandwiches, peanut butter milkshakes, peanut brittle, etc.
- Douse enjoys reading; particularly, the dictionary and funnies. His favorite comic strip is Peanuts. (Terrible pun, I know.)
- Douse is an enthusiastic sports fan: his favorite football team is the New York Giants, and his favorite baseball team is the New York Mets. He has season tickets to both teams' games which are skybox seats.
- Surprisingly, Douse is an avid bluegrass and country music fan. What's more, he is proficient with the mandolin.
- Douse is a gardening bug.
- Douse relishes productivity.
- Douse abhors cowardice and laziness, and despises bullies more than the former.
- Douse has a fear of mice and rats, but only a few are aware of this ICly.

- Douse is fluent in six languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian and Chinese. This means he can speak to the major population of New York. Also, due to the latter two, he can do the same with the Ouroboros army; likewise, this can be said for the original incarnation of Neo Arcadia, thanks to the first three languages.
