Profile
Working as a gunrunner and smuggler, Grizzly was captured and given the opportunity to expunge his criminal record. After accepting, he was modified and re-equipped by the Repliforce, to serve as the burly new Guardian for RHQ London Monolith along with Burn Dinorex. Dedicated now to the duty he sees as the right thing to do, and resigned to his fate. The Cajun still often misses his days of performing illegal activities, though he still attempts a few, at times... when he can get away with it. Though most of his original weaponry was confiscated, the impressive set he was given in return make him an even more reputable and dangerous Reploid then he was before. Very big, very strong, and often very rugged, Crescent possesses a strange sense of humor combined with an attitude which stems from him being resigned to whatever comes his way, and to go on no matter what. One of his arms has been modified to be used as a truly gigantic drill, a relic from his smuggling days, which allows him to travel underground. This, combined with his Crescent Shot, make him a formidable opponent. This addition, however, doesn't stop him from playing the Reploid-sized harmonica that he almost always keeps nearby.

Background
Not all reploids are created with a purpose they find fufilling in life, some wander, searching for a place. Crescent Grizzly was one such reploid, who found his place in the dank underworld of smuggling and gunrunning, selling weapons of destruction to the highest bidder, caring not for the consequences. His sordid occupation caused him to come into contact with villians of many a kind, including the Yakuza, Robot Masters (who sought parts), and even the Bonnes on the rare occasion. A Cajun to the core, his home and 'birthplace' being New Orleans itself, Crescent enjoyed living fast, hard, and dangerous. It was all there was in life, for the reploid, as he saw it. The solitude and mistrust that came with it caused Crescent to turn to the harmonica as a hobby to entertain himself, and he became quiet proficient. Always one to accept his 'hand' in life, Grizzly sat back and made the most of it. Then, he was dealt a new one...
It was a night Crescent shall never forget. A high level contact was to meet him deep within the appalachian mountains, where he would arrange to purchase a load of super-weapons for attachment to vehicles and reploids, and for a pretty penny. This was it. The big score. As the Cajun opened up his 'samples' to show his contact, the reploid found himself surrounded by Repliforce Marines, and his contact shed their identity with the flash of a Repliforce Identification Badge. Crescent Grizzly had been caught. The massive reploid was arrested and charged with multiple counts of illegal possesion and sales of weaponry, accessory to terrorism, and a large list of other infractions that came along with his trade. Stripped of his armaments and occupation, a long stay in stasis until eventual rehabilitation seemed to be the only fate left for him.
However, Destiny had something else in store for the massive reploid. Repliforce was apparently impressed with the skill of Crescent Grizzly, who had unknowingly been evading them as he did any other law enforcement agency for many months, along with creating a few very advanced pieces of weaponry and smuggling techniques, applicaple for use in the Robot Wars. So, the judge presented him with a choice-Change his ways, and accept training and employment in Repliforce, or accept traditional punishment for his crimes. Crescent readily agreed, realizing he had been given the chance of a lifetime, and it was not to be wasted.
Months passed, and though saddened by leaving the life he had once loved, the Cajun Bear found new meaning within Repliforce. His old weapons stripped upon arrest, Grizzly was retrofitted with many more, most of which well made up for the loss. Among them was what would become his price possession:the Drill Arm. A massive (Even for Crescent) arm, the claws themselves could converge to form a drill allowing him to attack and burrow beneath the ground. Incorporated into it was his original namesake weapon of his own creation-the Crescent Shot, a device capable of generating energy blades of a crescent shape to be used in combat. Over the next few months, he trained and studied hard to pass entrance exams into the ranks of Repliforce.
With the recent fall of King Dragon in the Battle of Repliforce Island, Grizzly was paired with another newcomer, Burn Dinorex, to guard RHQ-London Monolith. From cajun, to smuggler, to convict, to guardian, Crescent Grizzly had come to a place in his life he finally where he finally felt a 'belonging' in the world, and now stand vigilantly at the entrance to the RHQ in London, defending it and the city from all comers.
Crescent continued this duty with a dedication not often seen by the reformed who entered Repliforce, quickly earning the respect of his peers and commanders. Within a matter of years he became head of Security and Defense for the entire faction. Unfortunatly, this was quickly undercut by the destruction of the Monolith in London, leaving him without a specific place to guard. Regardless, he took this, like all things, in stride. Fate has a strange way of leading one along, and Crescent wasn't about to start argueing now.
Years passed, and so did the events. Crescent fought against the Mavericks, the coming of Nigh and it's corrupted Stardroid heralds, Neo Arcadia, and many other threats. Deep down he felt like he owed the world something for his arms sales before working with Repliforce; that so many of the weapons he had provided had killed innocents was a crime he the reploid could not forgive himself for. He nearly found redemption in the case of Dr. Landon DeVry's rebirth as Eidolon, but the man sacrificed himself for the good of all, leaving Crescent bewildered and deeply saddened. As Repliforce became an independent entity and solidified it's divisions, he was granted command of the Marines, though soon stepped down, handing it over to Jet Stingray. The smuggler had never been comfortable with his degree of sucess, and despite adamament statemenets from General otherwise, had long felt that if Repliforce were to disband, he would go to prison.
Crescent Grizzly is currently on extended leave from Repliforce, and his location is unknown.
Trivia/Facts
-Crescent Grizzly was one of a few who drained Procyon of his energy into a crystal given to him by Aldebaran, in order to power a machine that could destroy the coming Nigh, at the cost of Eidolon's life.
-The grave for Dr. Landon DeVry in Torontreal is Crescent's doing.
-When Repliforce was decommissioned, Crescent emptied the Security/Defense Division's bank accounts, and stole a Ride Armor, dissapearing a full week before the faction was to be fully disbanded. He re-appeared less than a month later, the funds used to acquire a treasure trove of (illegal) armaments for the now rogue faction, and having gathered members who were unable to flee with the Fortress III into a secret bunker within the Rocky Mountains.
-He was unofficial leader of the Mess Hall staff, due to his command of creole cuisine.
-Crescent took the Gold Medal for Battlebots in 2218.
-He commonly refers to his closest friend and original partner, Burn Dinorex, as 'BurnBurn'.
-When Iris was possessed by the original Data Raccoon, Crescent was the one forced to strike her down outside the Monolith.
-Crescent Grizzly once spanked Dr. Wily on national television. Sadly, corporal punishment is not a good deterrent.
