Profile
Chloe Hatchetman was saved from a life of nihilistic destruction by a moment of true self-sacrifice. Born to a pair of Juggalo heretics, Chloe was physically and psychologically abused by her parents until she was taken away by the state. Chloe was passed around various foster homes until she turned 18, after which she went to Europe with the Juggalo colonists. Chloe didn't fit in with other Juggalos because of her twisted upbringing, and ultimately she turned to hijacking and murder to get by. Chloe fell in with Count Elek, who gave her a home similar to the one she had known before, and joined Nebula to find wealth and power. Instead, Chloe found herself little better than a professional killer, with her prospects for advancement dim at best. Even among misfits, Chloe did not fit in. Chloe muddled along as an augmented hired gun for a long time before she met the Hunter Alpha by chance. Alpha reached out to her like no one had ever done before. Alpha believed in Chloe when no one else would, and through that trust earned Chloe's devoted love and loyalty. During the last battle against Alexia Ashford, Alpha sacrificed herself to save Chloe from Alfred Ashford's sniper bullet. In the moments that followed, Chloe found redemption in Alpha's simple belief in Chloe's essential goodness. Chloe saw to it that Alpha was delievered to the Dark Carnival for full honors before disappearing into the wilderness. Some believe her to be dead, but there are stories told around campfires across Europe of a Juggalo woman of incredible physical strength who appears when travelers need her the most and disappears before she can be thanked. Most travelers think the tales of the too-thin woman with the strength of a giant are just that -- but to those she has saved, Chloe the Redeemer is the only reason they still draw breath.
