Blink

Blink is the generic name for short-range teleportation. It is a well-known technology, and is widely available but not overly common. Blink allows for extremely accurate teleportation within a few hundred meters, so long as there is line of sight. It does not allow for teleportation through solids such as walls, except in extremely rare instances (in other words, you need to apply for that if you want to do it). Blink also allows for longer range teleportation, but it becomes very unstable at longer distances.

The +blink command represents blinking out with the intention of going a long distance away. It transports you into a random adjacent room, due to the fact that it is impossible to control direction at such long distances. This can be dangerous, as someone who uses this may end up high in the air when they can't fly, or underwater when they can't swim.

Blink technology does not allow the user to carry anyone else. While inanimate objects small enough to carry can be transported, living creatures or robots and larger objects cannot. To date, Protoman possesses the only blink system which can transport other individuals with him.

Protoman and Cyber Peacock are the only robots known to be able to blink into shielded areas, as well as blink anywhere on the planet with pinpoint precision.
