Profile

The Blackhand was not always a being of plastic and steel. He was born Harrod Willard Brass, an active child who became an introverted shut-in as he grew steadily dissatisfied with the "choice" between exercising the body and exercising the mind. He went into a career in writing, becoming an extremely prolific author in a wide variety of genres, with his central series being a pretentious science-fantasy epic based around a young man who found a pair of highly advanced gauntlets. After the New Year of 2221, his notes were destroyed as he travelled to New York City, falling into a deep depression until he heard of the new Irregular cause. As a true believer in upgrading being the future of humanity, the Blackhand has thrown in completely with Epsilon's cause, abandoning the weak form of Harrod Brass to wear a new body modelled after the main character of his best-selling series.
