Black Shield

Black SHIELD is fodder for numerous conspiracy theories ranging from the real reason the Stardroids came to Earth (part of a Black SHIELD plot to terrify the world into submission) to why it is drinking water in UN countries includes flouride additives for public health (precious bodily fluids!). However, real information about what Black SHIELD was (or is?) is hard to come by.

The group was apparently formed by a group of powerful financiers, political figures and other shadowy types during the early days of the Robot Wars, though may have had earlier incarnations which remain unknown. James Houseman IV became the leader of the group in recent history, though he may have been a puppet of Arkady Boganov. Houseman attempted to gain control of the world through the use of a powerful orbital weapons platform known as KORONA, but was defeated by Mega Man along with a coalition of forces working around the world to stop his ultimate ascension.

The true extent of Black SHIELD's influence may never be known. Even as it was decapitated with the deaths of Houseman and Boganov, the apparatus it left behind may continue to fitfully function. It may take years if not decades to uncover the full extent of their operations, if such a thing is even possible. Yet, even as it falls to ruins, there is always movement in the shadows. As has been said before, freedom's price is eternal vigilance.

Black SHIELD characters, or characters with direct or indirect ties to Black SHIELD, are inapplicable.
