Attacks

Attacks work like this: You pick the name of the attack, the level (1-10), the kind of attack (Ranged, Melee, or Impact), the type ('News Types'), and any effects they may have ('News Effects').

All characters also get the 'global' attacks listed in '+freeattacks'.

Non-combat characters should have no attacks over level 6.

Finally, all attacks should preferably be in the following format within your application:

Attack Name = Level Types Effects

Examples:

Claw Swipe = 4 melee blade
Centaur Flash = 0 ranged timestopper area homing stun
Acid Splash = 5 ranged chemical area

The attack names: Shot, Punch, Kick, Grasp, Ram, Throw, Generic Melee, and Generic Ranged are already free attacks and should NOT be used.

Apply for one primary attack and at least five secondary attacks. Do not apply for more than 50 total attacks in any one armor form: they will not be allowed. A total number of attacks between fifteen and thirty is a good starting number. It is possible to add attacks after character creation as not as they are not in excess. It is reccommended that OCs do not apply for an excess of attack "types:" try to stick to two or three main types at the most.

Attack names may be one or more words, or sometimes even a short phrase. An attack name generally should not be more than 40 characters, though there are exceptions.

The following commonly asked about characters are acceptable in attack names: exclamation mark (!), apostrophe ('), quotation marks ("), ampersand (&), hyphen (-), greater-than sign (>), period (.), less-than sign (<), and the plus sign (+).

The following commonly asked about characters are not usable in attack names: Any bracket ({, [, (), colon (:), semi-colon (;), comma (,), asterisk (*), number sign (#), percent sign (%), underscore (_), slash (/), backslash (\), backwards single quotation mark (`), and pipes (|).
