A six-year-old black cat, Andante has been Michael's constant companion ever since he joined the Maverick Hunters. Adopted from his cousin in Kentucky, Andante has lived a charmed life of sorts, consorting with all of the fantastic robotic animals of the Maverick Hunters. Fiercely independent and rather intelligent, Andante cares deeply about Michael to the extent that a feline can, and shows his attention by routinely savaging the nigh-unkillable human Hunter whenever he slights the feline in any way. One would almost say that Andante gets jealous, though that's not possible for a cat, is it? Knows the air ducts of the Hunter base better than any other member of the organization, which would be a nice skill... if anyone knew Cat.
