(Log) Disney Presents: Pandamonium
From Megaman Mush Wiki
WHO: Dragonfly, Josef Holznecht, Maria Barov, Prometheus, Signas, Sing, Typhon
WHAT: Dragonfly, Maria Barov and Prometheus decide to barbeque pandas at Disney's Animal Kingdom. For some inexplicable reason, Josef Holznecht, Mac, Signas and Sing object. Typhon makes his first appearance, just a little too late to join the fray.
WHERE: Disney's Animal Kingdom!
WHEN: April 7, 2221
(Thanks to Dragonfly for sending me this log!)
Disney Universe - Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is not merely a zoo, but it is the largest zoo in the world...expanding over a large part of Florida.
Animals of every type and variety can be found here, all set up in natural-looking habitats that reflect ecosystems from all over the world. Many of the animals are behind strong but non-intrusive cage areas, isolated carefully in the case of rare and dangerous animals such as tigers, to prevent casualties through nature's action. There are also "safari" zones, the largest of which is the Everglades itself. These areas are almost natural, with only small accomodations to visitors' comfort such as vehicle paths and occasional, well armored rest stations.
While the Everglades is the largest and most naturistic of the parks, the most dramatic is an isolated region underneath a large clear plastic dome to provide an even more appropriate environment. The draw of this attraction are dinosaurs; they are the pinnacle of Disney's animatronic art, and while technically non-intelligent, behave in a way that seems quite realistic. Although, of course, who could say otherwise?
The Kingdom's giant, and entirely artificial, world tree overlooks the park, visible from almost any location. On the Asia side of the park, a giant replica of Mt. Everest also stands, covered in false snow and wrapped in roller coaster tracks.
Pandas seem to be the agreed venue for barbecque. They exist on the park, specifically, in "Asia," an area under the shadow of the fiberglass Mt. Everest roller coaster in the Animal Kingdom park. An Indian river rapid ride leads past open tiger compounds, only a few steps away from the archetecture turning Chinese with a forest of bamboo. It's currently mid-afternoon, with children enjoying panda-bear and Mickey-mouse shaped ice creams under the warm sun.
Dragonfly considers this family bonding. Obviously, Prometheus knows the situation with Gemini and his identity even if he hasn't told other Robot Masters of this, or Prometheus wouldn't have made a sarcastic comment about the missus over the radio. But Gemini/Dragonfly is willing to give good relations with his 'brother' a shot even if it means massacreing a few pandas. Well, especially since it does, really.
Getting in to the park undetected would have been harder for Gemini than for Dragonfly, but not impossible for either even with the security here. Dragonfly is dressed, unobtrusively, as a fat, neckbearded tourist in a Hawaiian shirt and a Mickey ear hat that's too small for his head. People actively avoid looking.
Prometheus knows...largely because he's the Professor's Left Hand. He was at the Eschaton the night of Famous's death, though he wasn't present for that. However, he /does/ know /enough/. He...is not really all that great at disguising himself, but his scythe is away, as is his helmet. Being the latest of the Dynamic line, however, he can pass for a fullcon cyborg when he's not wearing his more distinctive features. The helmet and the scythe are those things. He is, grudgingly, wearing a Mouse hat.
"Come on, let's go see the pandas."
Maria is disguising herself via the simple expedient of wearing a mouse hat and zipping up her jacket so people can't see the guns, and the lining of sensor-spoofing material in the outer layers of leather can work. She's also sweating, but that's her problem, not anyone else's.
She snaps some gum, running her tongue up along the roof of her mouth to pry it loose. "Dumbass pandas," she says aloud. "I bet they're all robots here anyway. Do a stupid little dance when you put a zenny in the slot."
She adjusts the hem of the jacket because the carving knife was poking her in the chest a little.
Dragonfly is pretty difficult to notice right away, so he figures he'll see Prometheus before Prometheus sees him. He didn't know Prometheus was planning on bringing a friend, so he pauses for a moment at the sight of the woman in the jacket, before he's sure he gets a positive ID on the other fellow sneaking in with her.
Likely, Disney security also knows who Prometheus is... but then again, maybe not. He's a pretty new robot, and may be absent from a lot of the security files compared to old hands like himself.
He drops a quick tightbeam to the other robot, so he doesn't have to step out of disguise yet. <Good hat. You prepared for this? We have SECONDS.>
He does like a challenge.
The pandas, meanwhile, seem docile, lounging around under the sun. The sign in front proclaims them as Giant Pandas, a quite rare creature due to its choosy breeding habits and diet. One of them gets up, and lumbers over to the shade of a wooden structure in the enclosure.
Prometheus hasn't actually done much publically. He helped an Ouroboros attack in Paris and broke a statue in Harvard Yard. He's probably not /yet/ on the radar...but will be after tonight. He pauses as a tightbeam comes, and then sends one back. <We're ready, yeah. Always.> Prometheus grins, looking over the pandas. "Nah, Disney probably has some real ones."
His eye twitches slightly. "We'll have to see for ourselves, won't we?"
Maria follows after Prometheus, looking towards the soft and fluffy pandas as they sit, planning out how to do this thing. The neck, right? Everything's got big pipes in the neck. If she can clean the neck open in one long cut; well, what's she going to do, play with something that weighs like a ton? Nah, they'll have to work pretty fast.
She snaps her gum aloud. "Yeah," she says, adjusting her jacket and sliding a hand into it, as if to adjust her personal comm-phone dealie. "Truth's in the eye of the beholder."
Dragonfly sees the other two gather in closer, and, his disguised head nods. At once, the large man falls away in to the air, becoming the thin but tall form of a robot assassin, fully armored. Blue metal gleams under the sun as he pulls his arm away from his chest, producing a serrated knife made of clear ice. The motion is fast, but, then, it has to be. Immediately, a security camera on one of the enclosure's outer posts snaps to follow his movements, and it's only a matter of time before the defenses are on their way.
It's a short vault over the low barrier between Dragonfly and the enclosure, and he can only hope at this point that the others are already ready to follow suit. The Pretender Dynamic hits the ground with bent knees in green, wet grass, after a single leap, then brandishes the clear and jagged knife. He dives for the nearest of the unwary beasts, and plunges the blade in to its chest. Red splatter on black and white fur is an amazing and oddly beautiful contrast.
The screams of children have a savory flavor Dragonfly has not personally enjoyed in some time. The reaction among the nearest adults is confusion. Is this... some kind of show?
Prometheus's smile widens as he sees Dragonfly drop his disguise. He begins to run as the false Dynamic moves, his scythe appearing in his hand with a flash of black, and then leaps over the fence. The camears, of course, will be following /him/, too - but hey, fighting defenders is fun!
The blade of the scythe moves to slam for a panda's head, coming out through the bottom quite easily. "GYA HA HA HA HA HA HA!" Blood drips down the scythe as the Reaper pulls it out, allowing the panda to fall to the ground. As he does, fire begins to curl around him.
<Hunter/Repliforce> Disney Universe Security, normally airtight, is reporting on some channels that there is a disturbance in the Animal Kingdom involving Dynamic robots and Giant Pandas.
Maria follows too, throwing herself over that polite little barrier with a certain sort of crazed delight in her visible eye. She wishes she'd been the first, but hey, such is life! Maybe with two big strong manly androids around, they'll ignore her even as she hits the habitat ground, crouching low and running, not towards the two mature ones on display, but towards the half-grown panda in the simulant-bamboo thicket.
She pulls out the knife, which is well-worn, slightly rusty, and well-sharpened steel; she raises it over her head, whistling to get the beast's attention. Will it run?
Josef Holznecht arrives from the Transportation Sector.
Josef Holznecht has arrived.
Mac arrives from the Transportation Sector.
Mac has arrived.
Dragonfly twists the knife and pulls it out, getting a good spray of gore from the chest of the injured panda bear. "Well, that was easy... no wonder they're almost extinct." The panda lumbers forward, trying to stay on its feet, and Dragonfly laughs at it for a second.
Parents are starting to avert the eyes of their offspring: if this IS a show, it's certainly in poor taste considering the audience!
The panda Maria seems to beckon gets a confused message; these creatures have not known suffering and it doesn't seem to understand, at first, the knife. It moves a step TOWARD her, then, seeming to smell her intent, backs away.
Dragonfly sharpens his ice-knife on his thigh and observes his quarry. "What part's good for eatin'?" he casually asks Prometheus.
Prometheus smiles brightly as his panda takes a few last gasps. It was kind of inevitable that /one/ would die. He points at another, and a firey skull appears in the midst of his flames, flying at its head and cackling. "Torso. You know - filet, beefsteak. So mid-torso and above the legs. I think there's some good meat in the neck, too!"
He turns, flames wreathing him, and waves cheerfully to the crowd. "Maria, am I getting that right? You know cooking more than me." Meanwhile, the skull is trying to headbutt the panda.
"Try and get," Maria says as the panda bear she's menacing gets a whiff of the mixture of unnatural scents on her body, thus backing off, "the legs if you can, the main leg joint, right? You marinate it, it's tasty!"
She lunges forwards then, aiming to gore the young panda in the side. She lets out a slightly strained giggle as she does so, red lips spreading into a wide, cheek-crinkling grin as she does. "That's RIGHT! I thought you guys were dumb! Come on, honey, why don't you fight back?"
Elsewhere, a man leaps into a vehicle, lowering goggles over his eyes. His hand flies over the console before him, flipping switches, green lights answering him. Below the vehicle, steel plates rise up, bracing behind each wheel. A man at a raised platform checks a read-out, and gives a thumbs up. "Kongapult one hundred percent green. Ready for launch!"
Josef Holznecht reaches over his shoulder, pulling a seatbelt across his chest. "3... 2... 1... Launch Jeeeeeeeep!"
The vehicle catapult blasts forward, Josef's hair flying back as he is sent out into the open night sky. A platform remains beneath him, jet engines firing as he is sent at extremely high speeds.
Destination: Disney.
Sing called shotgun on Josef's jeep. He's sitting in the front seat on the passenger side, one hand gripping the door and the other on the windshield.
Sing is forced back in his seat from the acceleration of the Jeeeeeeeep!'s take-off. Sing throughs his head back and simply laughs with excitement as the vehicle persues its... collision course with Disney.
"Marinate? We've got to barbecque in a hurry," Dragonfly replies. "So set up a pit!" he adds to Prometheus. Normally, he's a little wary around fire, but so far everything seems totally jovial here. He glances around at some of the local foodstands, wondering if he can score some sauces. At the very least, there's a ketchup despenser nearby.
There's a crash from the tiger pit, which is a couple of blocks over, in 'India,' as the nearest security mech is also dispatched. This will get dangerous for the interlopers fast, and Dragonfly knows it, so he stabs at the panda leg as Maria suggests. The panda she is fighting roars, but... seems pretty uncertain in that, and isn't able to put up much of a scary front. It circles around her.
Why. Why are people so terribly cruel. Mac contacts the Disney Security Channel to announce his arrival. "Hunter Mac requesting permission to arrive on scene." Not that he isn't going to arrive if they say no. The CRAB is already on the way. It shoots down from orbit, spiraling slowly while Mac waits for the OK.
Mac stands on the teleporter, combing his hair briefly before he slides his helmet back on. "We don't take kindly to panda killers." He speaks to himself. "No.. no.. I can't /bear/ this." He shakes his head. "No... Man."
A gentle voice calls out. 'Security granted. CRAB in position.' Mac leaps up on the teleporter. The CRAB comes out of orbit, powering up prematurely. In a flash, the Mauve Marauder appears, blinking off towards the top of one of the fake bamboo areas. The CRAB keeps going towards it's destination, however. Dragonfly. "ZOO IS CLOSED!" Mac shouts from the top of a stalk of Bamboo.
Mac strikes you with a glancing hit from his Generic Ranged attack
Prometheus nods. "Right...firepit?" He watches as his skull continues to try and headbutt a panda to death. It isn't going well, though the panda is rather singed. He steps back and then gestures with one hand, raising a pillar of flame from the ground before him. "One firepit coming up."
Smiling madly, Prometheus slams his hand down, and the pillars begins to sink into the earth, burning its way down. Fumes from plastic and burning grass emit from it as the fire seems to carve out the beginnings of its own pit.
Maria twirls her knife in her hand to stab forwards, not downwards; she spits her gum out onto the grass, stepping to the side as the bear roars and circles. She doesn't strike right away, following it with her good eye and grinning as she does. Jeeps? CRABs? She's not paying attention.
She reaches into her coat to put a hand on something else, but whatever it is doesn't come into play directly. She stabs at the bear again, aiming for its face, though with a shallow, painful slice rather than a deep penetration. "Hey!! You think you're a bear? Hey?!"
Disney won't say no to Mac, since that would be more trouble than it was worth given his psyche profile, and the help is not unappreciated.
Dragonfly expected running into security sooner rather than later, but he's still sawing the leg off the panda when Mac comes leaping in to the enclosure. The CRAB gracelessly smacks him on the top of his head, and then he kicks it aside. "Orbital bombardmant?" he says confusedly. "That one is new."
He turns and looks up at Mac. "Hey, I CHECKED the hours, the park doesn't close until SEVEN!" Not that you'd know it, from the efficiency with which Disney is evacuating the area right now. The screaming has swiftly dulled in to some confusion and an otherwise lack of panic.
Dragonfly hoists the knife in to a throwing position, and resharpens it with a swirl of cool air. The edge of it still has a red sheen from the blood. It rebalances in a flash, and then Dragonfly throws the edge weapon at Mac with an overhand thrust.
The panda seems to react with instict when Maria lightly cuts it, and it feels blood across its nose... and it charges her now with scraping claws.
You strike Mac with a major hit from your Ice Knives attack.
The platform is a rough ride with the irregular mass of the Jeep atop it. These things are designed for humanoid-shaped power armors, and they had to cobble something together to admit Josef's vehicle. He did, however, want it /so much,/ and it's easy to see why. If nothing else, this is - as the kids say - kickin' rad.
One of the green lights on Josef's radically altered dashboard flashes twice, then changes to red. A smile spreads across Josef's face. "Hold tight now... the platform's out ahf fuel." Disney Universe is on the horizon, yes, but there's no way they'll coast there! How will they-- "We're jahmping onto Animal Kingdom!"
The big man's right hand comes off the wheel, punching down on a big blue button, dead center between the two of them. The platform detaches, deploying parachutes, to be later recovered by LEGIONS. But it remains long enough for a massive burst of energy from below the Jeep, propelling it downward, and the vehicle upward. Disney Universe gets a lot closer very quickly as the Best Jeepjump in the World is performed. Josef bellows in exultation, "AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
One hand on the wheel, Josef reaches down next to his seat, pulling up a rifle. Down below, the assorted villains will see the Jeep approaching fast, but they may not manage to spot Josef leaning from the side, steadying the end of the gun on the side-view mirror. The scope magnifies enough for Josef to not hit a panda, and he picks out the target he deems least likely to dodge. One is Dragonfly, and one is one of those mysterious new robots, which only leaves...
Josef Holznecht strikes Maria Barov with his Shot attack.
Sing gives a whoop of excitement as the jeep as sails through the air. As the jeep hits the apex of the jump, Sing bails from the vehicle after a short wave to Josef.
He takes in the targets, and dives on Prometheus with a fast kick. Does the Shrike Knight stand a chance against the Grim Reaper of Ouroboros? More than likely not, but fortune favors the bold!
Sing misses Prometheus with his Kick attack.
Prometheus doesn't even look up from making his firepit as Sing flies at him. He turns slightly, holding out one hand and catching the kick. It doesn't even seem to faze him, the flame pillar digging deeper into the ground. "Disney might be trying out some new security system. Plus I don't recognize these characters."
He shifts his weight as he speaks, to hurl Sing into a panda. "I mean, what the heck is /this/ one? Have they even /made/ movies about birds?" The Reaper looks over at Dragonfly and Maria. "How're they coming? The pit's almost ready!"
Prometheus strikes Sing with his Throw attack.
Maria feels a strange feeling thrilling up her neck as something happens, something - she looks up... The bullet fires down, slowed down heavily by that thick leather jacket but still embedding itself into questionable flesh beneath the surface of it. "Ngh!"
She is also bowled over by a pandabear. As the panda shows her the wrath of that which leaves in the East 'neath the willow tree, Maria is temporarily prevented from firing up at the incoming target. However, this does mean that firing /at/ her might well hit the panda, although with how much stabbing upwards she's doing, it might be a moot point pretty darn quickly. The other hand pulls out something, and she waves it; it looks like a gun, and she fires it upwards with a sudden streak of searing red light. Poor bear.
Maria Barov strikes Josef Holznecht with her Grasp attack.
Maria Barov strikes Josef Holznecht with her 40kw Ray - Red Beam Of Something attack.
Mac had to do it. He had to take the attention of Dragonfly of the panda. But lord, it hurt. The Ice Knife slings through the air, too fast for Mac's blink engines. It slams through his right chest plate, exiting out the back in a spray of mechfluid that freezes up the wound. To further the injury, Mac falls from the bamboo stalk, collapsing on the ground underneath. The CRAB recalls, moving back up into space while Mac struggles to stand himself up. He brings up one hand, brushing grass of his opposite shoulder. He then exchanges. Finally, Mac turns up towards Dragonfly.
"Park's closed on account of douchebags. Please leave." Dragonfly is playing rough. Time for Mac to play rough. Mac charges down Dragonfly recklessly, leaping off a grassy area and thrusting out both legs for him.
Mac misses you with his Hope For The People attack.
Attacking pandas. Trying to cook pandas. Being named after a Titan despite being of average size. All these and more are charges leveled at Prometheus today.
There is a deep resonating hum in the general area of Prometheus, just moments after the Ouroboros menace tosses Sing into a panda. A split second later, Signas appears in the air right above Prometheus, fist drawn back. He looks neutral, as ever.
"My name is Signas. I am not a Disney character," he says impassively, as his fists hammer downwards, aiming to drive Prometheus into the ground. The huge Hunter's facial expression does not change. "I do hope that is not a disappointment for you."
Signas strikes Prometheus with his Pressed Release attack.
Sing crashes into the panda, surprised that Prometheus tossed him so easily; it has been a while since that had happened. He slowly pulls himself to his feet and looks at Prometheus for a moment, weighing his options.
Nothing for it unless back-up magically appears. The Hunter charges in with another flare of back-mounted dash jets throwing another kick at Prometheus, this one strangely heavier than the first one. Sing does not taunt. Wouldn't do to tempt fate, after all.
Sing strikes Prometheus with his Gravitational Lensing attack.
With one hand, Josef pulls the rifle back, popping the large shell out and feeding another one in. It's the kind of rifle meant for doing damage to anything you need to do damage to, from armored people to large buildings. Josef snaps it closed, and then looks up. The ground is only a few hundred feet away, and coming fast... and that woman is pulling a mysterious machine out at the panda!
Josef flings the rifle aside onto the empty seat next to him, gripping the wheel and bracing himself. There is one more moment, and Jeep hits ground.
More blue light flashes from the wheels as it deadens the impact as much as it can, but Josef is still nearly flung out, the seatbelt snappping around him. The vehicle itself bounces hard, beginning to twist into the air. The Austrian himself decides he's had enough, bunching up and diving out of the vehicle, shoulder-blocking the wounded panda off of Maria Barov just in time for a red light to sear across his chest, burning a line across his shirt. "Hraagh!" The panda rolls away with complaint, while the Jeep bounces and spins into a wall. Despite the ridiculous landing, it only looks dented and scratched, not actually damaged. That thing is made out of amazing.
Josef Holznecht twists around, driving his boots down into the dirt below, tearing up divots as he slows his own flight. "Hhhmph! Pandas are meant for the delight ahf children, naht sadistic torment!" The big man rebounds almost immediately, launching through the air to bring a heavy foot around hard at Maria. It's only after that that he actually takes the moment to look at her, eyebrows slowly rising in confusion over her decidedly non-warrior look - until he spies the zhulong. Then his face might as well be made of stone.
Josef Holznecht misses Maria Barov with his Perfect Kick attack.
Prometheus grunts, as the pillar reaches firepit depth. Prometheus doesn't /need/ to be bigger than he is - he's a titan. Or something. As Signas speaks, Prometheus turns towards him - and moves back, taking the hammer blow on his chest. It cracks somewhat. "You're not? Pity. I wanted to kill a Disney character." He straights up - and is hit from behind with a kick. The flames die down to grill level as Prometheus jerks forward, his back slightly dented.
"Huh. Maybe I'll still get a chance!" Prometheus smiles - and then twirls his scythe around himself. It moves almost as if it were alive, slashing out at Signas and Sing. "You know, we can roast you with the pandas! That'd be awesome. I know how to make robots burn, it's /great/! GYA HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!"
Dragonfly stretches his fingers a bit, seeming surprised that his thrown knife was as powerful as it was. He forgot that Mac wasn't really all that tough of an opponent compared to the people he seeks out for duels. He realizes he has the Hunter overmatched a bit... and smiles, flatly. "Didn't Snow White or something have some bird in it?" he asks Prometheus. Honestly, he doesn't know. "Anyway I don't think they're with the park."
He jumps back when Mac leaps down for him, avoiding this direct attack. He responds with his fist, a quick jab for Mac's face. But now Signas is summoned, so things may be interesting, at least for Prometheus.
Prometheus strikes Sing with his Scythe Spin attack.
Prometheus strikes Signas with his Scythe Spin attack.
You miss Mac with your Punch attack.
Maria looks up at Josef as he seems to be willing to sacrifice his own beefy flesh to preserve the integrity of that panda's own. Her mouth hangs open, giving the Disney lights time to shine down into her mouth for a long moment and show off cheap Russian dental work.
She's pushing herself to her feet when she sees Josef is moving and decides that this is not a winning move. Instead she lets herself flop back down bonelessly, letting out a grunt as her back hits the ground and letting her eye track along Josef's back as he spins around her!
"Why do you care?" she says, sliding the heat ray back into her jacket as she rolls to the side, twisting out a smaller, glossier weapon - a pistol! She leaps to her feet while raising it up, aiming along the barrel towards Josef's leg and pulling the trigger twice with sharp, if not terribly loud, reports. "It's a stupid animal! Half this **** is just Disney ****ing around anyway."
Maria Barov misses Josef Holznecht with her Tt233 - Leg Shot attack.
Sing lets out a sharp yelp as Prometheus' scythe cuts into his torso plating. Nothing deep, and certainly not vital, but it stings all the same.
However, he does not seem willing to let the Reaper have any space. Weapons like a scythe generally need some room to work. Sing lays into Prometheus with a quick punching combination. Signas will likely need to do the heavier lifting here.
Sing misses Prometheus with his Blitz Combo attack.
Signas lands heavily, feet cracking the ground beneath him. He nods at Sing as the other Hunter impacts Prometheus' back, then begins his next attack. Prometheus' scythe slashes into Signas' leg, leaving a deep gouge in the black-and-red armor, and he grunts: "Hng."
That said, Signas begins his own counter-attack. "If you wish to kill a Disney character, I would suggest a career in animation," he says flatly, lifting his undamaged foot and swinging it around in an arc. "If you wish to burn me, I would suggest /fire/." Stomp.
Signas strikes Prometheus with his Pointed Remarks attack.
No witty banter. That's fine for Mac. He's not great at it. Mac charges up his blink engine, teleporting himself three feet forward. This gives him just enough movement to flip about and dodge the punch. Okay, think, think. Maybe Dragonfly has poor melee capabilities. If he can throw at a range but punches in close, you might have a chance. Mac turns back around, trying to gauge Dragonfly. He can't be /that/ powerful. Right?
Not that Mac is very good at melee either. Considering his fighting style is 'punch like a freak until someone falls over'. Mac runs backwards, picking up a battle broken piece of bamboo. He then charges back forward, holding the bamboo out like a lance to try and simply... jab Dragonfly in the chest with it.
Mac strikes you with a glancing hit from his Ferocity Of The Heart attack
Prometheus ducks, allowing Sing's punches to fly over his head - but Signas's foot is somewhat more troublesome. It slams into him hard, leaving a large dent on his back. The Reaper grunts, and then smiles. "You want me to set you on fire, Sparky?" He vanishes in a flash of black.
Prometheus reappears behind Sing, his armor burning. "WELL, OKAY!" He is flying through the air at speed, slamming at Sing. On the other side, he vanishes again - and reappears over Signas, slamming downwards before vanishing a third time and reappearing, not on fire, next to a panda.
Prometheus strikes Sing with his Flame Plunge attack.
Prometheus strikes Signas with his Flame Plunge attack.
Josef drops to a knee once the gun comes out, slamming his right arm down. Bullets smack into the CRUSH's shield, pinging off uselessly. "I care because you can't jahst deal pain to whatever you want, and I won't let light leave this world again!" It's important to yell about pandas. While Josef himself does not care to watch pandas be big, fat, and adorable, he cannot deny that they are in fact big, fat, and adorable. Children love all three of these things, and Josef will protect the children's dreams!
He pushes off the ground, leaping across the space between himself and Maria, trying to seize her in both hands and not particularly caring where his hands go. He rolls like a boulder if he gets ahold, trying to basically trample her under his body before flinging her forward and away.
Josef Holznecht strikes Maria Barov with his Big Throw attack.
The bamboo stabs Dragonfly in the chest and penetrates the front plate of his armor. Dragonfly looks down at it, and a spark shoots out, though it's not the powerful cut that he put through Mac initially. "You try real hard. I can appreciate that," he says.
He pulls the bamboo out of his chest, and snaps it in his hand, as if to indicate his disdain at its use as a weapon. Really, he doesn't mind when they improvise. He takes stock of the climbing bamboo that's within the enclosure, but doesn't want to back far away from Mac. He actually prefers an inclose fight, but needs a little room to use his wings. He eyes Mac carefully for a second and figures the odds. Toying a little with him, he feints another punch, then steps on his foot.
The area outside the panda pen is cleared of civilians by this point. One rather large tiger seems to have escaped the tiger pen nearby, as it advances on the situation with a smooth pace - pausing, outside the panda enclosure and observing the fight going on inside with tensed muscles ready to pounce. Obviously not an ordinary tiger.
You strike Mac with a minor hit from your Generic Melee attack.
"Oh. The pain," Signas says, clutching dramatically at his chest as the flames strike him. Then, he simply Blinks past Sing and towards Prometheus, arms bent at his sides and fists clenched. But it is his head which comes at Prometheus, aiming to slam him away from the panda. "Your hostage-taking skills are not very good, are they," he comments. "Honestly, that's good news for me. I'm not very good at hostage negotiations."
Signas strikes Prometheus with his Hostile Negotiations attack.
Sing yells out as the fire and impact leaves a massive dent in his back. Sing staggers for a moment, looking across the way to Signas. He considers for a moment, and opts to play assist instead of assault.
The Shrike thrusts a hand forward, using his control over the force of gravity to slow Prometheus down a bit.
Prometheus deflects Weighty Matters from Sing.
But their tears - their sweet tears! And the sweet flesh they hold!
Maria cannot deny the power of a panda either.
She is a lot smaller than Josef, and so she is easily swept up and subjected to brutally rolling along the ground. Between her own durability thanks to bone lamination and assorted other discreet, personal modifications and the fact that this ground is soft for the safety of panda-feet, she is merely badly bruised and sent flying into the bamboo, rather than becoming delicious salsa.
"Unh," she groans, pushing herself up and shaking her head before her eye turns towards Josef balefully. "If light's so big to you," she says, pulling the hammer back on the pistol and raising it up again, "Go follow it up." She fires, then, letting the recoil send her hand jerking artfully back while staying over in the bamboo. If she can keep the guy running, not hitting her...
Maria Barov strikes Josef Holznecht with her Tt233 - Snap Shot attack.
The slam knocks Prometheus to the side, cracking his armor again. Mechfluid leaks from it, but Prometheus keeps his feet. He twirls his scythe as Sing hurls gravity at him - and then /slices it/. The force comes down around him, but seems to sever as he slashes it, going around him harmlessly. "Hostages? I'm taking hostages?"
Prometheus suddenly moves in a blur, his scythe flying out every which way - at Sing, Signas and the panda. "NEWS TO ME! GYA HA HA HA HAAAA!" The Reaper moves quickly, vanishing and reappearing in black flashes as he swings, trying to catch his foes in a whirlwind of blades.
Prometheus strikes Sing with his Scythe Whirlwind attack.
Prometheus strikes Signas with his Scythe Whirlwind attack.
Signas throws up his hands, catching most of the scythe blows on his armored forearms, but still takes a hefty bout of damage from the assault. When it finishes, he staggers back, catching himself on a bamboo tree. It creaks under his weight, but Signas is quick to regain his balance. His eyes narrow, and the Diplomat stalks towards the teleporting terror.
Watching the teleportations, Signas mentally discerns a pattern. His hand raises. He waits. And then... THERE. The hand swings, JUST where Prometheus should be emerging from the swirling darkness. "Hold... still."
Signas misses Prometheus with his Swat attack.
Sing screams out as the scythe tears through his plating and into systems that do not need sharp pointy things in them. Sing has, perhaps, one last gambit to try.
He figures that he just needs to deliver one good hit on this joker. Just one, and Signas should (hopefully) be able to bat clean up. Sing kicks to the sky, aiming carefully for a moment, before descending on Prometheus with a pummeting drop kick aimed right between the android's eyes. The force is such that he'll crater the ground; Prometheus, as strong as he is, will not likely be able to stay upright when he's hit with this.
Sing strikes Prometheus with his Gravity Sink attack.
Sewa enters the Transportation Sector. Sewa has left.
This time Josef doesn't react fast enough, the bullet winging into the side of his ribs, punching through the light armor he wears easily. It has a much, much harder time punching through his actual body, resulting in only a flesh wound as his super-dense muscles repel the bullet.
However, if Maria thinks hiding in all that bamboo is going to keep Josef away, she is sorely mistaken. Bamboo is fairly cheap, right? They have piles of it in Japan, they can easily import some replacements. Josef digs in his feet, pulling his right hand across his chest, holding it open as blue light floods into his arm. "...Wave!" The big man slices his arm across, flinging a wide arc of energy forward, the force appearing to phase right through the bamboo on its hunt for the Ouroboros woman Josef is facing off against.
A full five seconds later, a groaning fills the air, as the bamboo begins to fall.
Josef Holznecht strikes Maria Barov with his Super Universe Wave attack.
Prometheus is fast. When he reappears, his scythe comes up, blocking Signas's slam with the haft. The Reaper grunts, his own strength easily enough to hold Signas at bay. Prometheus is stronger than...well, nearly anyone. However - he is not /that/ fast. He is distracted by Signas - allowing Sing to slam a kick directly into his head. The gravity force causes Prometheus to fall to his knees, his armor cracking and his forehead leaking red mechfluid. It flows around his eyes, leaving trails down his face.
"...I /said/ I wouldn't hold still." Prometheus's eyes twitch, and he stands, fighting the gravitic force. He moves his scythe back. "AND I WON'T!" The last Dynamic roars, and then twirls his scythe, bringing it around for Signas and then rising into the air to slash at Sing. Gravity is not enough to hold him back, and he explodes into the air, bursting free of it and launching upwards, his scythe whirling around him.
Prometheus strikes Sing with his Rising Scythe attack.
Prometheus strikes Signas with his Rising Scythe attack.
Crap. "Yea well," Mac starts as the pole is broken, "everyone deserves protection. Even pandas." Mac grins, feeling right about his decision when he ducks the punch with a twist to the side. Then Dynamo slams on his freaking foot. It is /hard/. So hard, it crushes Mac's foot. Okay. Okay, this isn't good. Mac pulls back across the grass, bleeding from that foot. He is slow, he charges his blink engine to close the distance. Let's try ranged again. Mac starts pulling back towards the bamboo again.
Mac folds in with the bamboo, holding one with his hand to balance out his foot. Ice... ice... Mac has that idea. Mac pulls his hand away from the bamboo to pick up a bit of flammable leaves. He stuffs the leaves into his buster, grabbing at the bamboo again to aim his buster properly. He fires off a bolt of plasma, carrying off the fire from the leaves in the shot.
Mac strikes you with a minor hit from his Shinkuu Gadouken attack
Prometheus is rewarded for his efforts with a lot of small bits of metal, and no small amount of Sing's mechfluid as he tears into the newly inducted Hunter.
Sing slumps to his knees for a moment, before bloting for the skies at top speed. Hopefully, Prometheus won't finish him off here and now.
Sing retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Dragonfly and Gigabolt Man-O-War.
"Hh," Signas breathes, as his palm is blocked by the scythe. His eyes narrow, but he steps back as Sing makes his Gravitic Assault. Then he steps forward again, preparing a deadly blow... but not quickly enough. Prometheus' scythe digs into his abdomen, laying it open and sending him staggering back, clutching at the wound. "Gnn... that stung," he intones. But, he shakes it off.
Because that's what heroes do.
"Prometheus," Signas says, stepping forward again and trying to keep the villain's attention away from Sing. "I have a message for your. It's from the WWF." He slams one fist into an open hand, then leans forward, as if preparing to run. Instead, he disappaers, then appears instantaneously behind Prometheus. "Pandas are considered 'too cute to kill' by nine children out of ten." The fist rushes towards the Ouroboron. "The tenth child is probably Bon Bonne."
Signas strikes Prometheus with his Official Press Statement attack.
Prometheus falls to the ground, unconscious, due to massive systems damage.
Prometheus...didn't know that Signas could blink. If he had, he'd probably have been more prepared. Next time, Signas won't have a friend to help him, Prometheus vows, as he feels the Hunter appear behind him. "Hgggk-" Prometheus has no chance to speak. The fist slams into him...and damage overcomes his systems.
Prometheus falls forward, to his knees, and collapses. He might, barely, be conscious - or he might not. He's certainly not going to be moving much.
Signas, for his part, is not in much better shape. He falls heavily to one knee, breathing hard for a moment. But he swiftly pulls himself to his feet, looks around the battlefield, and spots Mac and Dragonfly battling nearby. "Hn," he grunts, activating his forcefield and blinking towards the smaller Hunter. "I have your back, Mac."
Signas raises a transparent field of energy around his body.
Signas begins covering Mac.
Dragonfly doesn't like two things: one, being confused with Dynamo, and two, fire. The second one tends to hurt more than the first. He shouts out a good solid, "OW!" as the flaming bolt connects with him. Steam rises off of his body as several of his internal ice systems give off moisture, and he's forced to recalibrate. "There, you just got lucky," he says with a frustrated expression.
A moment later, Prometheus goes crashing down. "Man, looks like the barbecque's coming to a close already. Somehow I predicted that." He shakes out his hand as if he'd just grabbed a hot potato with it. "You know that really smarts," he mentions to Mac, as if it were still just a minor inconvenience. He grips his fist tightly. "I guess since we can't have a cookout, I'll just have to freeze some up for later." He starts activating his cryogenic systems again - they turn over slowly, with a hiss - then the ports on his shoulders shift and lock in to a new position. The air around him begins to grow colder, white frost building on the edges of his weapons and of his hands.
Signas steps in to position and gives Mac a cover. Dragonfly smirks. Signas is an opponent who may be worthy of him now, but, alas he's no longer in his own top form. He pushes himself up from the ground with his wings spinning, adding some manueverability, then tries to zip around Signas heading still for Mac. Better to get the smallfry out of the equation for now...
He covers his fist in ice, but it's still wet from his attempt to recharge his systems, slushy and sticky rather than certain. When he punches, the fist itself doesn't connect, but seems to duplicate itself in a larger form, a wave of wet ice that forms briefly like a hand, then almost in to a wave before collapsing toward Mac.
Signas successfully covers Mac.
You strike Signas with a minor hit from your Freezer Burn attack.
Signas's forcefield withstands the attack.
A wave of force?! Maria wasn't expecting THAT, she was expecting more fisting and possibly some pounding and/or kicking and throwing. This is beyond her planning. The bamboo suffers, and so does she; she's staggering when she ducks out of the half-wrecked patch, approaching the wall of the enclosure and swapping weapons out again.
She opens her eye more widely when she hears her commanding officer go down. Hm. That's bad for morale.
The drawn-out rocket pistol is modified quickly, the round stripped out and tucked away, replaced with something more tapered. She fires, then, rather lazily. The round is slung forwards by what is probably a spring, a moment before the rocket kicks in, sending it streaking and spiralling out towards Josef! SHortly before hitting him, or possibly shortly after, the flash-bang grenade fires, hopefully stinging, blinding, and deafening him temporarily. Yes, kids, only at Disney Universe!
Maria Barov strikes Josef Holznecht with her Gyroc - Flash-bang attack.
Josef Holznecht is temporarily disoriented by Maria Barov's Gyroc - Flash-bang attack.
No amount of manliness seems to protect against flashbangs. His goggles do, as expected, nothing. The big man goes reeling back, spots appearing in his vision, ears throbbing. Reflexively, he drops to a knee, covering himself as best he can with his shielding plates.
In the direction opposite Maria.
Typhon has arrived.
"Incoming," Signas states, watching the unique slushy fist assault roll towards Mac. He leaps, spreading his arms wide, and the forcefield widens in response. In fact, it turns into a ramp-shaped plane of glittering light, absorbing the brunt of the assault and shunting the heavy slush away. If Signas was human, sweat would probably be beading on his brow.
"Mac, finish him." Signas falls back, readying the forcefield again and letting Mac take the fight to Dragonfly.
Signas begins covering Mac.
Mac grins. He might see a pattern in there. Of course, he isn't going to be able to hold that out for long. He isn't going to kid himself. Dragonfly has to be powerful. At least, he has to be stronger than Mac. Mac start pulls about the forcefield, using it for cover between him and Dragonfly. The ice wave pushes about the forcefield, giving Mac the freedom of movement.
"Look. Good. Everyone is done. Get out of here and maybe we beat the tar out of you for being a horrible plight to the world." He starts shifting through the bamboo again, using his arm to balance himself and keep walking. He holds the buster arm out, charging it up with a flash of purple. Mac chuckles at Signas. "Thanks man."
He pulls himself up slightly over the bamboo to fire the heavy purple blast over Signas at Dragonfly.
Mac strikes you with a minor hit from his Mac Buster Megablast attack
As Josef can see and hear again... his opponent has gone away?! What craven cowardice!
Maria knows who signs her paychecks, and this big guy isn't a lot of fun to play with. So, she keeps her head low and runs forwards, dashing towards where Prometheus went down and ducking low to sling his arm over her shoulders with a slightly pained grunt. From here, well - she'll figure THAT out, but hopefully they can figure something out.
This does make her a bit of a target, though.
With a flash and a loud crash, Mac's strike hits Dragonfly in the chest, and sends him spinning over himself in the air. He hits the ground at a roll on his back, crashing in to the wall of the enclosure and bending the wire fence. It takes him a moment to detangle himself, before he remembers it would probably be easier to blink. In a flash of blue, he vanishes from his spot by the fence, to one by Prometheus's body.
"Did you actually just say 'finish him?' As if he could do that?" Dragonfly looks down at the burn marks on his chest, and seems to contemplate them. "Well, yes, I guess that really was your best..."
He glances over his shoulder at Maria's herculean effort. "Okay. I'll cover you. That way Prometheus owes me one."
Dragonfly stands back and clenches his fist, his wings moving again. He gets in front of Maria, hopefully between her and the oncoming interlopers, and fires his weapons upward, in to the air. A wave of ice flies up and seeds the sky directly above, which, although it didn't have many clouds before, quite suddenly begins to snow.
Snow, though certainly not expected in Florida, is not exactly scary, until Dragonfly snaps his fingers. A bolt of electricity flies through the falling snow, and leaps from flake to flake, jumping among the ice and igniting the crystals with a blue-toned chain lightning. It would be almost pretty, if not for its wicked intent, and it forks for those who came to defend the park from these invaders.
Signas successfully covers Mac.
You strike Signas with a minor hit from your Shocking Snow attack.
Signas's forcefield absorbs some of the attack and collapses.
You strike Signas with a minor hit from your Shocking Snow attack.
Signas falls to the ground, unconscious, due to massive systems damage.
You strike Josef Holznecht with a minor hit from your Shocking Snow attack.
Josef straightens, body tensed waiting for the attack that never came, shaking off the assault of light and sound. His eyes narrowed, he glances around, looking for - there! With that one other guy he doesn't recall aside from important. Who is that guy? What a crazy guy he is! His hand drops to his belt, pulling up the missile launcher...
...and he lets it drop, growling to himself. Missiles aren't exactly kid gloves, and there are still pandas milling about. Plus, he's trying to keep collateral damage to a minimum, and his right hand's energy can't reach that far. Instead, he bellows out after Maria, "Run, woman, back to your tyrant! Let Meio know I won't let him cahntinue mahch longer!"
With a grunt, he clips the missile launcher back on, just in time for it to start snowing. "Hah?" Josef spins around once more toward the rest of the action, just in time to catch Dragonfly snapping a bolt of lightning. The big man bellows in pain as the electricity jolts through him, setting his muscles to twitching and causing him to take a few semi-random steps.
But you know, he never liked that robot anyway.
"...and ahs for you--!" Josef is crazy, and he doesn't care. He staggers over toward the dead panda, gripping its furry bulk with his right hand. In a single movement, he hauls it from the ground, and pitches it right at Dragonfly.
It's a good thing there aren't any children watching, this is terrible!
Josef Holznecht misses you with his Debris attack.
"Well struck," Signas intones, as Mac's attack slams into Dragonfly. He frowns as the slippery rogue Blinks back into action, and steps forward again, preparing his forcefield for the next assault.
But he was not expecting electric snow. I mean, really, who IS? Nonetheless, Signas is quick to act. His hands raise and part above his head, the forcefield forming an umbrella of sorts. "Get down," he says levely, bracing himself for impact.
FRRRRZZZZAK! The forcefield holds... but not forever. The barrier finally collapses in a sympony of glittering transparent shards, each one winking out like a distant star gone supernova. Then, the attack strikes Signas himself, as he throws himself over the smaller Hunter. "Hnnnnngg!" he roars, as sparks explode out of all his joins and every seam of his armor. Smoking and damaged, he staggers and sways, stumbling away from Mac and Dragonfly, blinded by pain and electrical discharge.
Then, he is hit AGAIN. FRRRZZZZAK! "GRAAAAAH!" he cries, left arm literally exploding off his body. Sparks fly everywhere and armor shatters, shards falling to the ground like black and gold hailstones. And Signas... falls. First to his knees. Then, slowly, to his face. There is a resounding thud. The earth shakes. And Signas turns his head, forcing out one last inspirational phrase. "Mac... show them... your SPIRIT!"
Then, nothing.
Snow? Mac looks up into the sky. It's snowing. This... this better be his ultimate technique. There is hope in Mac that this is the worst of it. Mac holds up his arm over his face, looking into the snow. No, wait, lightning. Mac's eyes widen as he sees the lightning cascade, filling the entire air. That. That is the most frightening thing you could possibly see. The entire sky filling with lightning.
"Signas!" Mac shouts over the flurry of lightning. No, dammit. He doesn't need protecting. Not at this cost. Mac shields his arm over his head and goes rushing into the fry once more. He hasn't got any fire left in him. He has to keep Dragonfly from doing something like that. He has to keep Dragonfly distracted long enough to make them run. Mac could probably take another shot from Dragonfly before he has to get out of here, hopefully he can drive them away.
Mac blinks upward into the air, giving him some space over Dragonfly. He holds his fists together over his head, bringing them down at Dragonfly with a loud shout of nothing in particular.
Mac strikes you with a glancing hit from his Indestructible Spirit attack
Maria's being overlooked. That's good! If dull. Maria's being given an order! That's bad!
Damn damn damn, she thinks, dragging Prometheus over near a bamboo stand that is easily visible from the walkway. She flops him down, sends a brief radio message to the hopefully-as-good-as-advertised portal operator halfway across the world, and then lunges back out towards --
"Sweet," she says as the hurled panda comes to rest near her, and she skips the whole 'knife' thing, bringing out that heat laser again and slicing off one shank with a horrid 'krrrrrznnnn!' noise and a sick stench of scorched meat and precious panda fur. This, then, is dragged back towards the location of Prometheus...
A Panda is probably not weighted for proper throwing. Dragonfly avoids it with a sidestep, the lightning in the air fading to an ozone-scented crackle as the snow attack subsides.
Dragonfly seems to only realize just at that moment, that Josef was even here: before then, the big man was just another defender. He looks genuinely surprised. "Oh! What a time to run in to you. We were just having a bit of fun this afternoon. I certainly didn't mean to cause you any trouble-"
Signas drops, but Mac, having been guarded by the stronger Hunter, still prevails. He cracks his fists on Dragonfly's back, and there's the loud and unpleasant sound of something knocking loose. Dragonfly's cheerful mood fades as he snaps out: "DAMMIT, you are an IRRITATING NUISANCE." He tries to knock Mac aside with a sideways kick - no ice, no lightning, just a strike to get himself clear. "You owe me a taste of that," he mentions to Maria, who may likely ignore him.
You strike Mac with a glancing hit from your Kick attack.
If Dragonfly expects Josef to be at all 'friendly', he's about to have one hell of a rude awakening. Is this an example of loyalties shifting, or just a personal vendetta? They've already had a few tense moments in the past.
Tense like Josef's fingers as they come down on Dragonfly's head from behind, grabbing as he's imbalanced from levelling a kick at Mac. "And this is your idea ahf FUN?" Josef yanks down hard then, trying to quite unceremoniously hurl the robot's head into the ground, possibly hard enough to bounce him back up for Mac to have another shot at.
The big man locks eyes with Mac then, nodding once.
Josef Holznecht strikes you with a glancing hit from his Throw attack
Reality, meanwhile, is getting poked hard. The damage to Prometheus seems to be enough to warrant even expensive measures, and so a portal is spawned, space and time being linked in an unnatural union far worse than anything Dragonfly could get up to!
The tear, shining with what might be Cerenkov radation or something equally unwholesome, rips near Maria's location. She rises to her feet, remembering the protocols on this. The first thing to get shoved through is Prometheus, after which she has to pant for breath and turn to get the shank of panda. This is heavy and her muscles are starting to complain; it takes her a few moments to tow it towards the portal. WILL IT BE ENOUGH?
Maria Barov retreats from the area swiftly, leaving her open to pursuit or parting shots from Dragonfly, Mac, Typhon, Gigabolt Man-O-War, Signas, and Prometheus.
Come on, leave. Come on! Mac is floundering. He doesn't have the power to really drop Dragonfly. He knows Dragonfly was pulling punches, he was joking too much about it. But at this point, just making Dragonfly unhappy is enough. Hopefully he'll be unhappy enough to /get the hell out of here/. The kick connects with Mac's chest, cracking open his chest plate further from the knife wound from earlier. He moves backwards, giving Josef the room to move.
Mac locks his eyes in return and nods. Despite the bleeding in his chest, the bloody foot, Mac pulls in low towards Dragonfly, his head bowed low. Mac will think about Josef's allegiances later. Maybe he'll ask Cinnamon. Instead, Mac throws himself up at Dragonfly, fist outstretched for the chin. "Fun's over! Get the hell out!"
Mac strikes you with a glancing hit from his Mac Super Upper attack
Dragonfly is covering Maria now by having heroically-aligned civilians punch on him for a while. First Josef throws him, grabbing him and rolling him over headfirst. He recovers quickly, getting on to his side, but just as he's rising, Mac punches him under the chin.
He shakes his head, for a second, blinking at Mac, but the portal is open, so he's done serving as cover. "All right, all right-" he says to Mac, and chuckles self-effacingly. "You make a convincing argument."
He shakes his head again. A spark flies from the tear on his chest, made wider by the exertion of the fight and Mac's repeated shots.
"We'll have more fun later," he says.
His body flickers a few times before he vanishes in a blink.
Dragonfly retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Gigabolt Man-O-War.
A flash of red abruptly explodes in the immediate vicinity. As the light subsides, a dark silhouette takes the image of the Hunter known as Typhon. Brandishing his char black blade, the enormous reploid ignites it in an aura of flame. The weapon casts a daunting outline of dancing shadows about the ex-gladiator. The beast roars, bits of fire escaping from his predatory teeth. Demonic eyes sweep the scene but find that he is too late. Dragonfly's image disappears. The roar turns into a growl as he lowers his sword. "BLAST!" However, he does spot Mac and a fallen Signas. Typhon makes his way toward his comrades.
Maria Barov enters the Transportation Sector.
Maria Barov has left.
Mac's right! Yes... Mac's right. As Dragonfly pulls back, Mac leans over in a huff. That could have gone a lot worse. That is going to go a lot worse. He makes a note to avoid Dragonfly completely for a while. "Fine. Scrabble." He points out, trying to get the last laugh, at least. He then takes a surveillance of the scene. He knows Disney is going to have it handled. But. He looks over at Josef.
"I have to take Signas back to medical before anything worse happens to him. Can you make sure they didn't plant anything, please?" He asks of the man, sincere and hopeful as he makes his way over to Signas. He pulls the larger reploid upward, hoisting him up over his shoulder. "Disney can probably handle it, but you never can be too sure."
He looks over, seeing Typhon. "Awesome. You are here. Why don't you take Signas back to base. I'll stay here instead and give a report to Security, I'm sure they'll want a run down of everything that happened."
Typhon makes a guttoral noise as he nods his head in agreement. He takes Signas and throws him over the shoulder with the burden of a feather. The reploid blinks and looks around. "It looks as I have missed a glorious battle." Typhon hisses. "I must react with more haste the next time." He swivels around and makes his way for the teleporters, Signas in tow. His heavy steps echo with a dull thud as Typhon exits.
Signas is borne from the field of battle like so many potatoes in a burlap sack.
