WHAT: Grenade Man, Sword Man, Spring Man and Yamato Man attempt to rob the Bank of Nova Scotia. Axl, Signas and... Holocaust show up to foil them.
WHERE: Torontreal, Bank of Nova Scotia
WHEN: April 5, 2221

(Continued from (Log) Giga City Art Festival)

Torontreal - Metropolitan Toronto
Centered around Yonge Street, the longest street in the world, Toronto's downtown area is one of the busiest markets on the planet. From small cultural markets to the massive Toronto Stock Exchange, the city is a thriving business center, though some decry the business slant the town has taken, most of the smaller businesses and neighborhoods having long-ago left for the suburbs along Lake Ontario. Though the stratoscrapers around it dwarf it, the CN Tower Still stands, a famous landmark that has stood for more than two hundred years.

Holocaust has arrived.

Grenade Man is walking down a busy street, filled with the half-exploded wrecks of cars whose occupants have long since fled the area. Buildings all around have been evacuated, and were when the first of the explosions began. Canada does disaster rescue -right-. The area is quiet except for approaching police sirens, but even the police are keeping their distance. The bank front doors are locked. Of course, this fact is functionally irrelevant.
Grenade Man just blows them off with a small bomb. He sets it with care, shaping the charge inward. Apparently he IS concerned about knocking the building itself down. Some small part of him -knows- demolitions, inside and out...

Spring Man has arrived.

Axl has arrived.

Mac has arrived.

*BOOM* goes the bank's door.
Inside: Signas.
Standing in his habitual pose, hands clasped behind his back, the huge Hunter looks down at Grenade Man with a level of sternness that would register as somewhere over 9000 if there was a meter which registered such things.
"WHAT," he opens, voice thundering through the bank, "are you DOING." It is not particularly a question, though it might sound like one. "You have ten seconds to convince me not to permanently deactivate your explosive systems." Yes, Signas knows his enemies. "PERMANENTLY."

With the bank doors open, Sword Man ends up glaring in vague dissaproval. Such a messy way to do buisness. Why can't they EVER do clean jobs with little mess? Prometheus is such a 'kill it all' type to side with Grenade Man like that in terms of pure destructive force. Feh, no matter. This Theta was NOT as outright blindly destructive as Grenade Man, and he has no reason to set fire to everything right off the bat. He would then be like the anti-hero or something. Or maybe the definition doesn't quite apply. Maybe Idiot Hero works better. Who knows. "The doors are open. Stand guard. If anyone comes near who is actually armed, blow them up. A lot."
Sword Man sighs again as he tries to make his way into the bank. The vault shouldn't be far from here. And his first order of buisness will be naturally to get it open. That's his elegant solution. Then of course Signas shows up, well.. orders stand Grenade Man. Blow him up. But don't blow yourself up while doing it... Please.

Holocaust follows Signas inside. Because Signas is trying to show him how to be a responsible contributing citizen. Holocaust looks around as Signas immediately takes charge and slips into the door leading behind the teller counters.

Pay no mind to the shadows, kids. It's just, you know, abscence of light. Nothing is lurking there, nothing is going to come out and pounce you, evicerating you with knives or whatever. Nope. No, nothing at all in thoses shadows. Especialy not the celling. Yeah, that'd be silly.
Ignore thoses red eyes staring down. They've been there just for a bit -- might be just a tiny little spider, anyway. Yeah. Axl is definetively NOT there. Yup. Yup.
Don't you agree?
Axl changes into his Siarnaq armor.
Axl activates his stealth mode.

Signas' threat would have worked. If Grenade Man had the kind of mind that considered consequences. He doesn't. He's brave, but it's a hot-headed implacable bravery. And when he can't figure out the "best" solution for the situation? He goes with the default. The default is blowing up the problem until it is no longer a problem.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, Grenade Man can't just unleash his full payload inside the bank. If he collapses the whole damn building, then he won't get the funds he was looking to retrieve. So, there's only one solution... He isn't paying attention to Sword. He isn't paying attention to Holocaust. He probably hasn't even seen him. But he certainly sees Signas. Grenade Man lets loose with one of his favorite lines: "SUCK ON THIS, YOU STUPID SLAG!"
Sure, when you process the slang, it doesn't matter. But, considering he's raising his arm and releasing a cannonball-like shot, which contains NO explosive charge (he doesn't have many of those, folks!), it's actually appropriate in the end.
The fight is joined. Grenade Man calls out, his attack complete, he transmits something on the radio, staring down Signas in an effort to gauge the impact of his attack. Grenade Man knows no terror. It is one of many, many words he doesn't know.
Grenade Man strikes you with a glancing hit from his Pot Shot attack

Holocaust sis also now in the bank. Sword Man doesn't seem to care because the vault lays before him, in all its steel door glory. "The cleanest way can sometimes be the fastest. Blowing it up would be damaging to the structure.." The Theta is thinking out loud as he raises his sword to the door, examines the options, then shrugs and starts working his magic. The door would take too long to punch through or cut through. But the walls around it are still pretty normal as far as he knows. This is the fastest way in. Cutting through the walls. One slash, two slashes, three slashes.. A rapid flurry and a few grunts. The deed looks done. But the door hasn't fallen.. Yet. It isn't even open. But there's something wrong with this picture..

Signas looks disappointed as negotiations fail. The attack impacts his shin with a *plonk* and drops to the ground, bouncing once then rolling away. He looks down at the charge, heaves a deep sigh, and steps forward. "I tried."
"It seems these negotiations will become more hostile than I had hoped." Oen of his large feet draws back, then rushes forward, aiming to punt Grenade Man right back out of the bank. "Let's take this outside, Grenade Man."
You strike Grenade Man with a solid hit from your Hostile Negotiations attack.

Yamato Man has arrived.

Holocaust throws a fist up to cheer on Signas as he grabs big fistfulls of cash from the hole he has punched in the strongbox dispenser under the banker's counter. "Woo!" he calls, out as he looks around for a bag or container of some kind, finally settling on a box of donuts which he dumps out on the floor. "****in' punk***es!

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "Signas."

BWEEEE-DURP. Another hostile teleport in front of the bank! Will Canada's monetary system ever recover? The answer is a resounding: HAI, SOU DESU YO. Yamato Man appears, astride a valiant robotic horse (also adorned in plated samurai amurai) and an umbrella-toting geishabot. "<<Theft is rarely an honorable act,>>" Yamato Man dictates in Japanese, the Geisha nodding subserviently and dictating every word with an electro-calligraphy pen onto a tablet. "<<But HONOR binds me to support my comrades!>>" He swings out his spear, which makes an unexplainable anime sound-effect *TWING* along with a reflective twinkle along its polished blade. "GAIJIN!!" He bellows at the bank, his horse stamping back and forth. "OMAEA WA MOU SHINDERU!!"

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "Yes Axl."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "Why is that guy there, and why is he punching a strongbox dispenser stealing money, and can I knife him."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "He's -what-."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "I saw 'm. I'm up there. In the shadows, y'know."

And suddenly, from thoses odd shadows comes a metalic gleam. Two kunais drops from the celling one aimed straight at Sword Man's head and one at Holocaust's punching hand's wrist. Immediatedly after, a figure drops, landing on the counter and glaring emotionlessly at the Irregular.
Siarnaq, the Shadow Aesir.
"STATEMENT: YOU, SIR, ARE BETTER GET GOING BEFORE I GET MAD. TRUST ME, IT'S HARD WITH THIS FACE." The be-scarfed young boy drones out monotonously

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas sighs. "He is Holocaust, an Irregular. I was talking with him at the Art Festival.

Axl strikes Holocaust with his Kunai Flood attack.
Axl strikes Sword Man with his Kunai Flood attack.
Axl deactivates his stealth mode.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "More Robot Masters have arrived. I may need your help with them... at least I can negotiate with Epsilon to get that money returned later. The Robot Masters are -impossible- to get to the table."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "I gave him a warning shot about the money."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Andruw Nisse transmits, "Where are they stealing money from?"
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "I'll see how that goes."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "Bank."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Andruw Nisse transmits, "Naturally, Axl, but which?"
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "Torontreal, sorry."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "Didn't grasp the name."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "The Bank of Nova Scotia."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Andruw Nisse transmits, "Huh."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "I hope that Siarnaq is you and not the real Siarnaq."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "Z'at me."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "Very good. I will attempt to contain Grenade Man."

MAN, that is quite the kick! Grenade Man goes flying back out the bank door, landing at the base of the stairs. Pointing his firing arm at the ground, he uses a miniscule explosion to get him back on his feet. Flipping up the stairs, the force of the explosion sending the giant grenade back up the stairs and into the bank, Grenade Man decides that this is what he deserves for not staying true to his roots. A tiny door opens in the Robot Master's armor plating. With a "Kachak!" sound, out ratchets a thermite grenade with an adhesive base. This extremely focused explosive would deal no structural damage to anything save what was -directly- in front of it. If he'd done things right, this would be the meddlesome Hunter who was getting on his nerves.
"What? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'M GRENADE MAN, ***ch!~"
And then, with a flick of an internal trigger, he would detonate the adhesive grenade, no matter where it was, and bathe in the sound and scent of an explosion well done.
Grenade Man strikes you with a solid hit from his We Have Explosive attack

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Siarnax ahems. "I'LL TAKE CARE OF BOTH. HOPEFULY THAT HOLOCAUST WONT STAY AROUND LONG."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Andruw Nisse transmits, "As I recall he lives only for destruction and possibly hanging out with Giga Man."

"Hh," Signas says, following Grenade Man's flying form out the door. Just as he's walking down the stairs, Grenade Man's shot comes towards him. Signas frowns, throwing his arms across his face to take the brunt of the blast on his heavily-armored forearms. Even so, when he walks through the smoke and sparks, there is damage apparent on his torso. It was quite a large explosion.
Signas' attention swivels briefly to Yamato Man as the Japanese Master enters, and his voicebox clicks as he switches languages. "Gaijin ja nai yo," he replies, eyes narrowing even further. "Akuma desu yo." His right arm comes back, locking into place briefly before swinging in an arc towards both Grenade and Yamato Mans, leaving a trail of pink energy in its wake. Chk-Boom-ba-BOOM.
You strike Yamato Man with a glancing hit from your Arc Punch attack.
You strike Grenade Man with a minor hit from your Arc Punch attack.

Holocaust throws himself bodily back into the flimsy fold-out table behind him as the 'boy' stabs him with his kuntai kintay whatchamacallit? A knife. right. The flimsy donut box still clenched in one hand as the table splinters around him Holocaust's single eye paces back and forth through his visor.
"I don't do... knife fights, kid." His other hand comes up, it holds a red plastic jug with a long plastic yellow spout. He pours some into his helmet and drinks it. And then throws it up and boots it as he leaps to his feet. Gasoline, and it is definitely gasoline, splatters everywhere, hopefully all over Siarnaq.
"If that's even your real name..." He meanders suspiciously as the big green cannon on his shoulder swivels to point in his opponent's general direction and spits out a modest fireball.
Holocaust misses Axl with his Caution - Flammable attack.

A kunai connects with one of those awkward 'ear' pod things on the side of Sword Man's head, embedding in it but doing little appreciable damage otherwise. Oh sure it stings, but if he was a human thi would count as an ear piercing. It also drew his attention to SiarnAxl for a brief moment. "How inconvenient. Proceeding with the operation." He then looks back on the vault door.. And thumps the wall next to it.
Remember the strange motions and cuts this RM did against the walls outside the door's rim? Well there's a reason it was done that way. We didn't want to waste time on the door, that would be dumb. Also, if the building survived the door could be easily replaced. But the main reason for the thump on the wall is to release the door.
And indeed, the door falls forward out of the wall emitting smparks from severed wires within the wall around it The door falls, then gets caught in Sword Man's arms. This makes a good blunt instrument to use against Axl right now, especially flung. But it doesn't have to be a hit, no. It'll take out another wall anyway so he won't care. He's killing two birds with one stone: getting the vault open and making an emergency exit 'door'.
Sword Man strikes Axl with his Flatside Swipe attack.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "Grenade Man hits hard."

It went well at first for Siarnaxl. The ninja leaped up, vaulting in mid-air out of the stream of gasoline and the modest little fireball, ready to counterstrike with even more kunai raining down at them.
Then, he was hit by a vault door. It was pretty painful and for a brief moment, Siarnaq looked like a human-sized tennis ball. It was pretty hillarious in a way. Just not for Axl. Also, 'briefly' is because in mid-flight, his form suddenly bursted with light and changed, soaring back at the Irregular and the Master.
It's Aeolus now, in full Model H armor, twin electrical blades gleaming menacingly. "I don't care what you play!" Aeoluaxl snaps out. "What are you doing stealing money, 'Holocaust'?!" The twin blades are then swung, the bigger one of the two creating a large electrical arc to slam them both in.
Axl changes into his Aeolus armor.
Axl strikes Holocaust with his Boreas - Sweep attack.
Axl strikes Sword Man with his Boreas - Sweep attack.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "I am aware of Grenade Man's psyche profile. He did not respond to negotiations or threats to deactivate his explosive capabilities permanently. Clearly he is as unhinged as the rest of the Robot Masters."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Layer transmits, "He is. Down him like any other."

Yamato Man takes Signas' punch thing with minimal damage, raising his spear and blocking the strike, though it does dampen his charge. "Keksuoooooo," he curses, before charging into the bank, spear at the ready. "KIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAI!" He yells out a battlecry, trying to stab Axl right in the back with his gleaming speartip.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "That is the plan."

Yamato Man misses Axl with his Yamato Spear attack.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "Incoming, Axl."

At least they're moving out into the street now. Grenade Man cackles evilly and raises his gun arm. He's not ready to quit yet, but he's taking enough of a beating that every inch of him is itching to get some exploding done.
He fires shot after shot: Small metal balls which roll along the group, red lights in their center blinking out a countdown. He fires them with great precision: bouncing off of railings, fire hydrants, cars... forming a perfect circle around Signas' feet. The bombs are primed, ready to go off in a hellish firestorm and buffet the Hunter from every direction. "I'm Grenade Man, damnit! Get outta here or you'll be nothing but a smoking crater!" And then, he detonates the tiny bombs in a complex storm of burning explosives and rending shrapnel. Unfortunately, as some of his own components went into creating and priming these particular bombs? Grenade Man feels the burn too. Specifically, some part of his interior components burn out. Yamato Man leaves him alone with Signas, he notices. Grenade Man only sees this as a positive...
Grenade Man strikes you with a major hit from his Project Mayhem attack

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Aeoluaxl transmits, "Seen him."

"Better a smoking crater than a psychopath," Signas returns neutrally, continuing to stalk towards Grenade Man as the bombs fall around him. His mistake, as the little explosives pack a powerful punch taken all together. The blast sends even the massive Hunter up into the air, where he performs an involuntary flip and comes slamming back down into the ground, face-first.
A moment passes. Then, Signas pulls himself back to his feet. "Hnng," he grunts, spitting out a gob of viscous fluid and drawing the back of his hand across his chin. Most of his chest is missing by now. "You hit hard," he says calmly, clenching his fists. "News flash: So do I." The fist pistons forward.
You strike Grenade Man with a major hit from your Official Press Statement attack.
Grenade Man falls to the ground, unconscious, due to massive systems damage.

Holocaust grunts, and shrugs as he thinks about the money he's allready gotten. He's not a greedy or ambitious killzooka. Not in the slightest. He hoists the cash, amazed that he missed the gasoline entirely, or he must have been drinking water again. He shakes his head angrily as he charges out the door.
Holocaust retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Spring Man, Mac, and Axl.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Aeoluaxl transmits. "Holocaust is running with whatever money he snagged, I smite him down?"
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Aeoluaxl transmits. "Or y'wanna try to fix things up, Signas? Honestly, I'd rather just knife him."

Yamato Man looks about the battle. "Gaijin, scum, they have no honor," he says, to his geishabot. "There are bigger battles in need of my blade! IKUZE!" He gallops off down the street, his geisha hobbling after him.

Grenade Man shatters under the raw force of Signas' blow. Furthermore, things are compounded when he falls on top of one of his own flash bombs that he had been priming for use in the near future. It falls, knocked loose from a cracked weapon arm, and detonates. His body is horrendously wrecked after the explosion, but there's a metaphorical smile in his voice as the Robot Master screams: "YESSS! IT HURTS SO GOOD!" And gives Signas a thumbs-up.

Axl is quite a charmer, folks. Flashing between copied forms to take advantage of their strengths. It was also entirely unexpected to see a green freak rush in with green-bladed beam swords. Electrical beam swords. Sword Man teeters back a small step, a shallow and minor cut flashing across his chest armor. It makes him pause and glance at it, then back at Axl. Uh oh.. He's MAD. "Who said he wants money? I am not concerned with him unless he interferes. You however.. Are in the way. I do regret having to make my position clear in this matter, but it is not my choice to be here. Lord Prometheus will throw a fit and Mister X will not be pleased if we fail to meet expectations! Now out of the way!"
There's a flare of red light shining around Sword Man's body. This is certainly a herald for some pain. And then he just happened to break into a flaming tornado of fire, spinning within it as he careens across the floor in Axl's direction while elaving a flaming trail in the floor behind him. And as if the fire wasn't enough, that big fragging sword of his is fully extended and generating that fire twister. He's just buying time, clearly. And using his anger very carefully.
Sword Man strikes Axl with his Fire Spin attack.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Aeoluaxl transmits. "Signas?"
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "I will secure a refund for the bank from Epsilon."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "We have Robot Masters to deal with."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Aeoluaxl transmits. "Alright."

It went without saying that there was quite a lot of things happening all at once, what with two seperate fights with up to six people. Flying high over the area on a borrowed personal flight bike, Spring Man has been on the scene for a few moments, hopefully unnoticed as of yet, and apparently waiting for something. He spots a figure making a break for it, but not one he recognizes... But they ARE running! He also notes the semi-familiar figure of Grenade Man (who's easily recognized by shape and sound) laying in front of...
'Signas? Oh-ho... HIM again, eh?' With a mental grin, Spring Man jumps from the bike and quickly plummets down towards the road, aiming to land nearby Signas and Grenade Man, surprisingly without aiming to attack... The flying bike above flies off into the distance.

Aeoluaxl lands, flying low under Yamato Man's thrusted out spear and smacked dead on by Sword Man's Fire Spin attack, sending the fake Aesir bursting in flames on the ground. His form, once again, changes after a brief burst of light, returning into his natural shape. "Yeah, well, I wasn't talking to /you/, Wendel." He snaps, flipping to his feets from a burst of his boot hover jets, tracking his pistol at the Theta. He lets Holocaust go, despite being clearly able to snap a shot in his direction. Robot Masters are about.
"Now I am, and I'm telling you to get the /hell/ out of here before I take that sword of yours and do something unspeakable to you with it. Y'hear me?" The Gunslinger says, firing off a few shots in the swordman's direction.
Axl changes into his Axl armor.
Axl strikes Sword Man with his Axl Bullet Point Blank attack.

Signas watches impassively as Grenade Man explodes beneath his fist, then shakes his head sadly. "So much potential... wasted." Turning away, he is just in time to see Spring Man land. "Ah. Spring Man," he says. "I hope you are not here to cause trouble as well. This city has suffered enough."
Even so, Signas holds up a glowing fist... then swiftly splays it open. A bubble forms, then grows and reverses to form a shield around the large Hunter. "I would rather not have another altercation."
Signas raises a transparent field of energy around his body.

"Well...," Spring Man starts, "had I not gotten lost on my way here, I MIGHT be attacking you." He looks at Grenade Man's battered body, giving it a nudge with his foot. "You kind of beat up my brother in arms, here, after all! And..." His attention turns towards the fighting going on in the bank. "It seems there's still more fighting going on over THAT'A WAY... But right now, I don't have any beef with you personally, Signas." He rubs his buster with one hand and continues to watch Sword Man and Axl go at it. "You'll have to excuse me if I go save my other friend's butt, though."
With that, Spring Man runs over towards the bank and aims his buster towards the figure of Axl. "YO! HUNTER!" he yells. "Leave the walking sword alone!" He fires off a small coil at high velocity at Axl, aiming for his back, apparently trying to get his attention.
Spring Man strikes Axl with his Multi-springs attack.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Zero transmits, "Well, checked out the response time. It was decent. Have some interesting data for you science people to look at too."

Sword Man says, "Walking Sword? Why I Nev-OOOUAAAAUUGH" You can thank Spring Man for distracting Sword Man, Axl. The bullet not only hitd dead center of his chest, it propells him like a rocket INTO the vault and into the wall full of safe deposit boxes and of course, money storage safes. They erupt into a shattered mess with a rather loud sound of rending metal which rains their contents down upon him as he lays there, smoking around a nicely sparking chest. Oh you can tell that hurt. But with Spring Man doing some cover, it allows Sword Man to get out some bacgs, muttering in both pain and irritation while he shoves everything that was on and around him into it. Probably a couple hundred thousand zenny's worth of items by the looks of it. He just had to clean up the floor, nevermind the Sword Man shaped dent in that bank of boxes he was slammed into. "Keep him busy just a moment longer.."
And also, we cannot forget Grenade Man. And with as much pain as Sword Man is carrying, he is not forgetful of his more psycho brother, especially with reguard to making sure he gets out of there. This required him to store the first bag and get another in its place, which was rather empty and shuffle around Axl to get at Grenade Man's remains near Signas.. And of course collect them using his blade as a crude shovel. And by the way. Don't forget he will run very immediately after that. He just has to get this mess of Grenade Man stashed away. So he can still be forced into dropping the 'taken' goods from the vault."

"Wendell Percy 'Sword Man' Wily," Signas intones, appearing directly behind the Robot Master in question. Blink. "You have in your possession items which belong to the Bank of Nova Scotia." He crosses his arms behind the faintly-shimmering forcefield. "You will drop them now." It is not a question, of course. "You may take Grenade Man's remains with you. You cannot outrun me. I will catch you in the blink of an eye. Use your logic and drop the stolen goods now."

And lo, Axl turned around, snapping out a curse as Sword Man tries to go around him, tacking his pistol after him. "Where you think you're goin--"
Suddenly, springs straight to the face. The intention of catching the young hunter's attention worked perfectly, leaving Sword Man to the good diplomatic care of Signas. "Where the heck did you came from!?" Snaps Axl as he rips the springs off with his free hand and fires off a few blasts after Spring Man. "You guys are attacking this place, YOU should be leaving here alone!"
Axl misses Spring Man with his Axl Bullet attack.

After firing off his distraction, the overgrown coil bounces on the spot, chuckling and slinking, apparently mocking Axl. In a rather impressive display of agility, the slinky collapses down on the ground, coiling down like...well...a big spring, just in time to miss the spray of bullets. "Make me!" he shouts as he sproings out of his coil, quickly hurling himself at the Hunter with no regard to himself whatsoever.
Spring Man strikes Axl with his Slinky Slam attack.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "Spring Man is a slippery one. A shame, he seemed reasonable during our last encounter."

Axl hates to admit it, but springs kind of hurts more than they really should. Never mind that this one is bigger than a man and about as crazier than a fox. The Gunslinger snarls out a grunt of pain, flying back, flipping in mid air to lands on his feet. That was close, and that /hurts/ more to do than it actualy looks. "I will!" He lets out, blazing his jets to lift and soaring upward, firing down at the Master all the way. Saturation fire, you know?
Axl strikes Spring Man with his Axl Bullet Strafe attack.

Spring Man was quick to pick himself up off the ground after Axl did the same. Though he grunted from the sorted counter-attack, the big ol' spring was not one to be detured by any amount of attack, apparently. There was a plan set in motion and he was going to do all he could to see it through to the end!
"Nothing you say or do can stop us from pulling off this heist, Axl! And I'm gonna make SURE of it!" Spring Man reached in under his armor yet again and pulled out a thin piece of wire, coiled as any of his springs usually are, but rather long. Taking a moment to focus on the Reploid's flight pattern, he waits...then fiercely, he whips the coil at Axl, hopeful it hits its mark.
Spring Man misses Axl with his Winding Coil attack.

If Sword Man is listening, he's too busy shoveling Grenade Man into the bag. That's gonna be a big bag. Only once he finished soveling a minute later does he answer. "Your logic is flawed. This bank does not carry items for Nova Scotia and only Nova Scotia. Its contents vary between countries. Its a storage space for visitors temporarily staying in Canada, to my knowledge. However.." The bag is shifted and lifted now that Grenade Man has been fully stuffed in it. "I'm not risking Prometeus decided to slam my face against the ground like a bug /again/ so soon. Sad as it is, I must politely refuse your demand. However, we may duel over these items another time as I can assure you that it takes time to proccess them, sometimes up to two weeks. You may contact me freely by then." That probably is a lie, but it does offer a second chance to get the items fairly. "And if I may comment sir, you don't know for certain if you are actually fast enough or not to catch everybody. So please don't get overconfident in your skill or abilities. Good day."
And then.. He's off. Running. There's a good chance both Axl and Signas can mow him down without too much trouble. And they get a good prize if they do. A very good prize indeed. What is it? Well, it should be obvious. If they make him explode or collapse, that subspace pocket of his will throw up.. The moniez. One way or another, the RM's are still on the defeated side today. All the better for Axl and Signas.
Sword Man retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Spring Man, Grenade Man, Axl, Gigabolt Man-O-War, and Signas.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "Ten bucks I can get a headshot on him."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "You're welcome to try. I will engage Spring Man."
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "You're welcome to do that!"

Signas pauses. "The Bank of Nova Scotia is the -name- of the bank, Wendell. Nova Scotia is a province of Canada," he finally says. "Not... oh, never mind. Clearly your neural net is malfunctioning." Sword Man takes off running, and Signas shakes his head. "I do not know for certain that I can catch /everybody/, obviously. But you, I could catch. Knowing my own strengths and limits is different from overconfidence."
Nevertheless, Signas does not take a parting shot. Instead, he turns and nods to Axl, then looks at Spring Man. "I see you are no longer as rational as you were a few days ago. This is a shame." The Diplomat swings his arms around, then slams his hands together, discharing the forcefield towards the springy Robot Master.
Signas lowers his energy field.
You strike Spring Man with a glancing hit from your Shield Discharge attack.

The whipped coil would have hit by all manners of being if it was not of a single thing that Axl has done in his flight -- or therof, lack of it. He desactivated his jets, letting the horrible gravity take it tool to drop just under the whipping, rocketing himself backwards. "Oh yeah?! Then tell me why Wendell over there is running away, now?!" He says, blazing straight to the celling, slamming an hand straight into it and holding himself there firmly. He lowers his guns, closing his eyes and slowly level then toward where Sword Man is fleeing.
He remembers what he did against Alexia. That was, for all intent and purpose, a true kill with his heart. However...despite what's going on, he...he can't bring himself to pool up the same amount of sheer emotion and preparation to kill than he did then. His mind is clear, his eyes are focused, but his heart is not completly there.
That will do. A sharp mind is already a potent thing to deal with, so shall any bullet fired by them. Plasma bullet that is, by the way, aimed at Sword's head.
Axl strikes Sword Man with his Shoot With Your Mind attack.
Sword Man falls to the ground, unconscious, due to massive systems damage.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Signas transmits, "Good work, Hunter."

The look on Spring Man's face (or lack there-of) was priceless as his coil zinged right past Axl. "I...bu -- HEY!" Before Spring Man could string two words together, he found himself being attacked again. He cleared his head with a shake, then gave Axl and Signas a wink and a two-fingered wave from the head.
"Gotta go!" He didn't seem or feel too critically damaged, but he still made a rather large bounce outward. So large, in fact, that he found himself directly behind Sword Man.
"Oh, @!*&!" he yelled, noticing that Sword Man wasn't moving. Well, what else could he do at this point but whip out a remote control and call his hoverbike? That hoverbike from before had found its way back on to the scene, now hovering near Sword Man. Spring Man, on the other hand, was in the middle of collecting Sword Man, Grenade Man, and the loot on to the back of the bike. Needless to say, this was going to be an interesting ride...if he even made it back!

Signas frowns as Spring Man starts to run out of the bank, towards him, and then past him. He watches as Axl's expert marksmanship downs Sword Man with a nod, then activates his trump card.
Blink.
Signas stands over the bag of loot, and bends over to grab it as Spring Man is wrangling his hoverbike. "I assume you want this, Spring Man. That is also unfortunate." He doesn't attack, but it doesn't look like he's willing to relinquish the contents of the bank vault. "You have the same opportunity I offered Sword Man. Take your comrades and go."

BLAM! The shot was a bulleye. but it didn't obliterate the target. That would be possible if Axl's heart was in it. As it was, Sowrd Man was AGAIN flung like a doll, out of the bank and across the street where he slams into a car upside down, the two bags falling to the ground with the back of his head blackened. Looks like he'll need a new chunk of positronic brain, since it didn't blow his head apart. But now there's a question as to what will happen now. What will Spring Man try to do with this situation? The odds are not good, that's for sure.

Axl lingers stuck to the celling for a few more moments, watching Sword Man fall. Spring Man makes a run for it, Signas does what he does best: Diplomacy. He remains up there on his ventage point, watching what will unfold. He's tracking his gun to take a shot at Spring Man, thought.
Who cares if there's a wall in the way, he's good enough.

At this point, Spring Man was still able...with some difficulty...to load up the bike with his buddies. As he reached for the bag of loot, however, he found it missing. Turning around, he blinked at Signas, interally fuming at the whole 'business-like conduct' he posed.
"You... But... I... This...!" Once again, the coil seemed bunched up in himself, impotent rage barely contained. On the one hand, there was a huge sack of cash -- hot, CANADIAN cash -- dangling there for the taking. He fancied himself fast enough to grab it, but it was fairly weighty and the duo might destroy his ownly convenient escape route cut off. The duo might jail...or DESTROY...him and his bretheren, effectively putting them out of commission for several days. On the other hand, if he ran off with his brothers in tow but not a single cent on-hand, what sort of reprecussions would he face back at base at the hands of Prometheus, among other people? He'd already failed ONCE since being reactivated... Would a second failure...over something FAR more important...be tolerated?
Suddenly, something caught his eye and he looked into the sky, his eyes opening wide. "What the Hell is that?!," he yelled as he pointed his buster-arm in the direction he was pointing. Should the two Reploids chance to look, there would be nothing of interest to see, but either way, Spring Man would make a rather quick grab at the sack of riches Signas was holding and with any luck, he'd be able to be on his way.

Signas raises an eyebrow, but does not look up. Instead, he blinks back a few meters, just out of reach of Spring Man's arms. "No, I do not think so, Spring Man," he says sadly. "This city has suffered enough damage today. Next time you want to steal something... don't bring Grenade Man with you."
Signas holds his ground, but makes no further move to attack. "I suggest you go before my comrade loses his temper."

Axl drops down and rush outside, his gun leveled at Spring Man. He don't fire either -- but the noise he makes when he deliberatedly flip the saftey on and off loudly should be telling a lot about the situation the Robot Master is in currently.

Sword Man retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Spring Man, Grenade Man, Axl, Signas, and Earthrock Trilobite.

"Yeah, well, for the record...", Spring Man started before he was interrupted by a the rather rude noise coming from Axl. With a low snarl, he spits, mostly at Axl, "ALRIGHT ALREADY! Fine! We're GOING!!" The robot hmphs... With a heavy heart, he wraps himself around his bike and deactivated comrads, firing up the engine.
"This isn't the end of this! Mark my words, some where...some day...some time, when you Hunters LEAST expect it, we WILL be back! Probably tomorrow!," he adds in entire contradiction, pulling out at a moderately slower pace, the bike's weight limit exceeded.
Spring Man retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Sword Man, Grenade Man, Axl, Signas, and Earthrock Trilobite.

"Yes, of course you will," Signas says quietly, as the Robot Master zooms off. True to his word, he does not attack the retreating Spring Man. He can't speak for Axl, though.
"Some days I almost feel that there is no hope for the Robot Masters, Axl," he says, passing the younger Hunter on his way back into the bank. "I will remain here and help set the bank back in order until local law enforcement arrives."

Axl watches Spring Man hobble away, holstering his gun afterwards, shaking his head. "I dunno. There may be, I mean...the Alphas did come around. Then again, it...took a lot for it." The younger hunter concedes, looking around and up at Signas. "Alright. And, uh, if they ask about the vault's door's inprinted shape, that wasn't me, that was all Sword Man. Just to make things clear."

Signas nods to Axl. "Who knows what the future may hold," he says, somewhat cryptically. "I will be sure to let them know that it was not you. And thank you for helping to keep collateral damage to a minimum." A pause. "I will need to discuss the layout of Heaven's Fortress with you at a later date."

"Yeah -- it's not terribly complicated, but there's some twist to it." Axl replies, looking away. "Oh! Uh, no problem, too bad about that Holocaust guy getting away with some dought, however."

Signas does not seem terribly concerned. "I will get it back. That's what I do." With that, he walks into the bank.

[Radio: (A) H Chat] Axl transmits, "Nah, thanks, they're gone now -- hey, hold on. Y'new, aren't you?"
[Radio: (A) H Chat] Typhon transmits, "I wish, then I'd still have that new smell..."
